The tank is slightly mistransformed, in the front.

That’s always feels like a lazy designer excuse for living bot kibble visible in sci-fi alt modes. My point is, with the space available, it looks like it would have been fairly easy to have tucked them away, either in the leg itself or in the gap between the legs. Obviously doesn’t 100% mean it would be, but it sure seems like there’s ample opportunity.
The contrast of the silver and black just calls a lot of attention to them by my eye, and makes that one portion look either unfinished or mistransformed.

Well this IS on their home planet so there's no real point of really trying to hide your robot mode parts unless if there's a really good reason to.

It doesn't look like kibble, though. Just looks like a flaring or some kind of vent. It matches the angles of the rest of the tread fenders/coverings/whatevers.

I was thinking the same thing. It seems like a purposeful design element, it just has a mixed level of effectiveness because we know its his foot. I might like it more once I have the figure in-hand or see more photos of it. Right now I'm not a big fan of the alt-mode. It reminds me of Generations Warpath and I don't like that and I usually don't like H-type tanks in TF designs (I do like Gen Warpath). It feels lazy and uninspired. But again, I might feel differently once I'm holding the figure. Compared to recent voyager figures (TR Octane, Astrotrain and Blitzwing) the alt-mode is not holding up well (IMO). Robot mode looks great though and that's the best Megatron non-MP head sculpt I've ever seen.

G1 cited stealth as the primary reason why transformation was developed in the first place.

In this case, it's pure designer lazyness "because cybertronian mode."

I'm already thinking of this as my chug Megatron. Unless there's going to be a Leader class in the future.

Same here, though I wouldn't want a Leaderclass. This one will definitely be my official Megatron, "lazy" design choices not withstanding.

None of you are bothered by the ugly milky gray plastic color?

In the olden days, Takara would have repainted this or used a nicer color for the plastic, but now we're stuck with Hasbro's choice.

I'm not, and I don't consider it ugly. I focus more on the sculpt and detailing, which the light gray plastic works with. If it bothers me in hand, I'll find something else to enjoy about the figure and either wash/line it or just ignore it.
    At least it isn't chrome.

I am not a fan of chrome either, but a nice silver or gunmetal color would have worked a lot better for Megatron, IMO. This way, I am not even considering this figure.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Black Mamba ( or some other KO company) not only make an over-sized KO of this guy, but to also give him silver paint as well.
