This might be old for some here, but I just came across this neat little addition for Volcanicus that combines Slash. It makes Volcanicus' proportions look waaaaaay better!

How well do the Beast Gorira Jr. weapon modes fit PotP Primal's hands? I'm considering picking up the Gorira Jr. set for him.

(apologies for delving up a post from over a month ago).

not very stably at all really, they have to be propped against the ground. his fist doesnt close entirely around them in axe mode, though it may work better being held two handed.

that's a super cute picture, but man after seeing Flywheels i hate the way these 2 have individual robot modes and the excess kibble it adds to the combined form.

Now that I have PCP in hand, all I have left of the Powers of the Prime checklist is that darn Wreck-Gar.

Found a lone Megatronus and nabbed him. Neat little guy.

Now Megatron can channel his inner Cybertron Megatron incarnation.

    Now I’m done with POTP.

If a family member gets me Predaking as a gift, I will accept it graciously, but I don’t think I’ll buy it myself. Punch/Counterpunch is the epitome of the line for me and he/they is/are very cool.
Straight out of the box, I did the shoulder joint modification, but doing so gave him floppy arm syndrome so I had to go back and apply some floor polish, it did the trick. Now to address something else about the shoulders, at least in Punch mode.
    6A5325C2-2798-4461-9161-648DC7114000.jpeg
Keeping the arms in the official configuration seems to be a bit claustrophobic.
    34771B95-F6C2-4995-B523-39554A4959E9.jpeg
The way the hood pieces are tabbed into the shoulder just doesn’t feel right and it just feels like he’s stuck. To me it just didn’t feel like his arms could move as freely. Has anyone else noticed this or felt that way? Anyways, to “fix” it, I fan moded the shoulders a bit to give Punch more freedom of movement. I don’t recall seeing anything like this yet, so if anyone has tried this or a different way, let me know.
    C8A38A4A-7FA5-43E7-A06E-F0F21966FE80.jpeg
This feels much better! The hood pieces don’t get in the way or bump into anything. It also makes Punch less awkward to hold in hand.
    4746C097-CB58-4967-83F7-1A20348821EA.jpeg
I think it gives Punch more flair too this way. It doesn’t hinder his lower arm movement either really, unless maybe you’re going to twist it all the way backwards but then you’re just going into Counterpunch mode.
    AA9488C2-0AD3-4DAD-875E-EABFCD8D9055.jpeg
This will be my version of Punch. It opens him up, bulks him out, and makes him more intimidating all-in-one. I think it’s a better mirror to his alter ego as well.

Shoulder pads on this/these guy(s) just works. They really pull off the look. Counterpunch just looks mean and ready to fight. This shade of blue is killer and I really like the splash of purple on his shins. I know it’s just a flip to the back but the difference is really as distinct as night and day.
    FE4ED7D2-8937-4F27-B25C-B5DB21A45EA3.jpeg
Having the shoulder pieces face up on Counterpunch really feels different from how I have them face down on Punch. It’s subtle but works well for the characters I think. The poseability on this figure is crazy despite not having actual feet. The leg stumps are still workable, I can live with that.
    15C29747-4F5D-44D6-B79F-164A41F0064F.jpeg
I’m very happy with how this figure turned out. But to cap it off.....
    810E1F57-442B-4EAD-B453-A41BB82E835C.jpeg
Hasbro gave us one of the sexiest luxury sports supercar alt modes ever. I would’ve like maybe a few more splashes of silver paint say on maybe the hood vents as an example, but I can’t knock the blue paint job with the sporty red rims on the wheels. Just so very nice! I wish it was life size and affordable.
    3C271A4B-70A0-40EA-AFC6-AE78D63FBDC9.jpeg
If they had painted the inner grill area red with that silver trim there, I’d almost wish this guy was painted black and came with a miniature Michael Knight figure instead of Prima.
    5F8F791F-356A-4B1E-B058-3BB507F8A593.jpeg
It’s a bit out of theme for POTP, but I don’t care. Hasbro ended the line strong, but still prematurely I think, with this figure. My brother and I shared the G1 Punch/Counterpunch toy when we were kids. I definitely have some nostalgia for this figure as he was one of favorites to play with. I think this/these guy(s) could be strong contenders for figure of the year. Well done Hasbro!

I did the same exact pairing. My head canon is more so that Megatron captured megatronus and like forced a connection and uses him to power his arm cannon. 966E7797-0583-49B9-A968-AB4D77804B57.jpeg

Believe it or not, there is a real world counter part to his alt mode.

It's called the Acura NSX. I mean it's not exactly the same but it's probably the direct inspiration. Affordable, it isn't though so can't help you there.

Still nice to look at though. But according to TFWiki, he’s more of an amalgamation of different models. It’s a “supercar resembling an Infiniti G37 with the front end of a Camaro and Volk TE37 wheels.” The Acura does look pretty close though.

Love the paint job on your TR Megatron! The perfect mix of shiny but realistic. It gives him so much character, especially in the face.

The car i sexy! P/CP may have the best looking car alt mode I have seen, or possibly tied with MV5 Hot Rod. Hot Rod's alt mode is just obscenely awesome in the movie, and even though the figure isn't perfect, that alt mode is. I'll call it a tie for now.

TFWiki is apparently pretty clueless on cars. Every time I see his altmode I also think "that looks like an Acura NSX" and I never think "That looks like an Infiniti G37 with a Camaro's front end".

    This looks nothing like that.

I do see it too just not completely. Despite what TFWiki says to me, from the windshield to the back end of the car looks like the Acura NSX, but the hood and grill remind me more of a Chevy Corvette than the Camaro.
