New Fox Promotes Five Top Executives Ahead Of Disney Deal Close According to Deadline, there is a chance this deal could be finalized before the year is over
If it closes that soon we may see Fox characters in Marvel by 2020, or they could sneak in a blink and you'll miss it cameo next year.
Maybe they could alter a line of dialog to throw in a reference. They sure aren't going to go through auditions, hire someone and do reshoots.
I still think the tamest thing we could get in Avengers 4, especially if the deal is done by January, is a post credits scene where Doctor Strange looks into the multiverse and sees... well, I dunno, an X or something. Kinda like the Captain Marvel logo at the end of IW? I dunno. Something small and simple.
Maybe Doc Strange can shift the time a bit, so that we can get the first X-Men movie in March 2019, because auditions would have happened then already. Of course he would need Deadpool's help to step into the real world to do that. But it's possible!
They could just have Deadpool walk on at the end and start talking to the audience about how awesome it's going to be now that Disney has fox and how he can now interact with Captain Marvel with out getting into legal trouble. "Hey Carol you have to drop that restraining order" or something like that. Then start doing commentary about things that happened in the movie during the credits till Kevin Feige or some one has to drag or threaten him to get off screen.
That would honestly be the best way to do it, plus a scene like that would take a week to film, and Ryan would be up for it. I’d love a joke of him trying to cuss only for it to be censored, too, then him getting mad at the censor.
I may be in the minority, but to be honest, I don't really want the X-men in the MCU. I'm not saying I don't want it if it happens, it's just not exciting or interesting to me. For me, it's the integration of all those rights so whomever they want to use like that is back in play, especially the F4 characters like Doom, Galactus, Surfer, and the like. Though after hearing the idea of John Krasinski and Emily Blunt as the Reeds, an MCU version of that does sound pretty cool.
I can see that. I don't want X-Men, but would like FF done right and maybe them and a few other side characters. The MCU is one place i am ok with mutant discrimination.
I'm also interested in FF done right, but X-Men is just me most beloved comic book, I can never get enough of them. I love them just as long as G1.
I want the X-Men to go away for a while. Too many movies have ruined the franchise. I'd rather they focus on the fantastic four (as others have said).
