I'd like to see the whole scene as well featuring FT Willis.

Yes this! ... I was quite struck by the civility of all parties engaged in the XTB/MMC "battle" ... it reminded me of two homeless individuals discussing living accommodations ... no one is really happy with their lot, but at the same time putting on airs and getting huffy about everything just seems rather out of sorts, given the pitiful circumstances ... knowing full well how they take such delight in embracing their inner troll, I'm positively shocked FT has teased nary a silhouette right about now ... :)

This figure must be where MMC got the idea for stubby feet for their Arcee from.

Finally got mine in from bababobo yesterday - boo, speedpak shipping - and I actually like him far more than I thought I would. The finish looks fantastic: bright, red, and glossy. The wonky proportions and strange waist don't glare as much in hand, and particularly when posed. He looks awkward in a neutral stance for sure. I think the only real quibble I have is the gawky neck, no matter what I do I feel like a bit more of it is showing than should be, and that his head sits a little high on it. Also, the door transformation is a little finicky and fragile-feeling. But otherwise, I'm much more pleased than I expected to be. I have XTB's Hubcap and feel that both molds do some things well and others poorly, but feel I made the right choice (for me) on CJ. I don't mind if Hubcap looks a little stiff and lifeless, but Hellion has so much more pop and shelf presence, weird proportions or no. He's like a little action figure. Only thing holding him back on posing is that his elbows are too high. But otherwise he has superb articulation. I can also see the potential problem with the friction joint on the lower legs, but mine are super tight so looks not to be an issue anytime soon. I seldom transform my guys so it may never become a problem for me, I could see where repeated transformations could wear that area down and encourage unwanted sliding.

I agree with this 100%. There's no clear winner here, and even more than usual it comes down to individual tastes and preferences. But anyone on the fence should keep an open mind on this figure, he's a bit more than the sum of his parts.

Mine was from EBay but not Baba. It has reached US soil but is still stuck in USPS purgatory. Gotta love SpeedPAK.....not.

    Your videos are so amazing.

Are you covering the original animated characters with the stopframe animated ones?

You're not like roto-ing out the animated versions first right?

Thanks:)  Not exactly roto, but yeah I do have to remove the cel drawings first. Sometimes that just means picking out a clean background frame and other times it's more complicated...

Well, I never had anything against it. Besides the Chibi/Penny racer alt mode is the most accurate to the toon of all the other 3P MP Cliffjumper offerings currently on the market so it stands out.

Awesome. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. I had a hell of a time deciding which 3P CJ to use in my display. Ace Tumbler was a good placeholder. Not in contention. Toro looks great (after the backpack mod) as does Hellion but the kicker was when I put them both beside Bumblebee. Toros got the height and shape but felt off. Hellions taller but, for me, fit together better. Why? Staring at both compared to Bee it was the limbs. Bees arms and legs had detail. His biceps were ribbed, forearms had panels, the thigh had notches and the shin had paneling too. Hellions got similar amount of detailing in the limbs. Toros limbs just feel like blank flat rectangles. Toro felt like the current TT toon aesthetic. Hellion blended better with Bee so he goes on the MP shelf. Toro though goes on the desk to mess around with. Still a fun toy.

What am I doing wrong? For the life of me I can't get the backpack to fold down without feeling like I'm going to break something. I extended the slide in the torso all the way, folded the doors under, flipped the two little clips, but when I start to fold it, it pushes on the doors with a lot of force.
