I only live about 20-30 minutes away but I ended up booking a room anyways. I need to take in the full experience and not worry about driving back and forth. One night I will have my daughter and the other night I will have my son. It should be a fun experience for them. Looking forward to meeting some of you and par taking in a couple adult beverages at the same time.

I am set to be there for a day. Is a group for discussing the room trade parties afterwards? I might try and bring some stuff up.

I would expect the artist to put in at least as much effort as fracking Garfield.

Didn't he stop doing TF comics like years ago already? Last I remember, he was drawing super-deformed parodies of every 80ies/90ies property. The time when he only did transformers was like what, 10 years ago?
Also yes, he was never funny.
EDIT: looks like his last comic was 4 years ago, actually, and nothing since.

I am surprised by this comment coming from fan in transformers episode autobots have alien mask on face be in Hollywood movie, power glide four ton bot rides carousel not breaking under his heavy weight, transformer comic one of autobots chains himself to ceiling try get out by doing magic trick, another autobot gets big gun that is twice his size and blows his own face off those stupid comedy situations are no different to lilformers

Compared to anything done by Dave Willis, it's high art. That, and Matt Moylan actually manages to write stuff that's funny. And doesn't have to have some stupid comment about pushing someone down stairs every time Skywarp is in frame.

My wife just dropped off the trip. It’s just me and my 12 year old for our second time. I bought the plane tickets today. Last year we drove to dc....then did a Sunday sight seeing excursion. Then drove back to Ohio. About a 7 hour drive. I wouldn’t change last year for anything, but I’m soooo looking forward to a more relaxing travel experience.... not having to fight Chicago traffic... with the convention center so close to the hotel that takes a load off my mind, I’m sure there will be a shuttle of some sort.

Last year I got a hotel room after the block was full, We ended up seemingly not being next to any other con people which was good and bad. This year I’m in the block and expecting a ruckus hallway. Last year I didn’t feel comfortable taking my son into other peoples rooms for part parties, I’ll have to play that one by ear again this year. Last year I was legitimately tired from working all day then driving to dc then the con then touring dc and driving to Ohio, I was tired. This year I’m napping on that plane and enjoying myself more.

Last year I bought a disgusting amount of toys, this year I’m doing original art.
