In Asia most vender use name of Sentinel instead of Flametoys. Same as 1000toy, in Pre-order bill board it's said this is from Sentinel but under different trade mark. Their official store shop also the same store D4 Toys Co., Ltd Flametoys Drift and Tarn follow design concept design of Riobot, Metamor Forcer and Metal build. If you already used to those kind of Toy , you can imagine Flametoys concept design follow that concept. (High level of articulate, Metal joint, All paint, Chogokin feeling)
Yes definitely can feel the Sentinel vibe from this toy line, thanks for the details information regarding this company. I am quite impressed with Sentinel after seeing their products over years and finally bought the Jehuty and Anubis few months back, totally love them expecially on the articulation side. There's plenty of highly articulated figures nowaday but not every figures produce a pose as natural as Sentinel did with their figures. I guess it would be the same for Tarns as shown in their recent test shot.
that website said this comes out in september. i literally started throwing money at the screen. i regret nothing. tarn me baby
Ok. I have Drift. Long story, but all in all, pretty much a masterpiece imo. That said, I was vocal about the only reasons I wouldn't get the Tarn was the scale being exactly the same same height as Drift for the extra almost $200 where I am. Give or take 3cm based on the websites description. So my only willpower play ( being that I am bananas about Tarn ) to not get the fig was the price being higher, the fact you didn't necesarily get the bonus parts , ( which should just come with it imo ) , and the scale. Recently, I saw the Tarn and Drift together.. I don't know if the measurements are off or just the jacked level of Tarn, but.. crap. They totally looked in scale. Normally I'm not a scale warrior or anything.. just.. you know.. if it's the same line from the same company.. I may have lost the urge to resist after seeing this. I may have just signed on for one.
ok.. are we within a month release window yet? are they smart enough to time this up with tfcon? not sure yet if i would want to try to pick him up in chicago or have him shipped to my home
As much as I loved the thing, I didn't think I was going to go for it, but after seeing the thing in-person today at NYCC, my resolve is waning...
Went back today, and the guys there didn't know too much, but they said Megatron is supposed to be one of the kits you assemble too, so he's not the pricey ones like Tarn and Drift.
Nice! I actually don't mind as I'm used to putting kits together anyway. Can't wait for him to come out and be the perfect non-transformable Megatron.
Good and bad. I can't wait to see the Kuro Kara Kiri design for Stealth Bomber Megs since I'm sure it'll be the bomb like Tarn, Star Saber and Prime. That said Autobot Megatron is arguably my favourite Megatron design and I would have loved to see him in the KKK (heh) design.
*thinks about a battle between Megatron vs. a Gundam* I'm interested. I like models, and even though this one doesn't transform, that should be fine. Usually, transforming models tend to be delicate messes. *flashbacks to the Bandai VF-1A Valkyrie and the RG Zeta Gundam*
Oh baby. Im torn if I’d like to pick this up at tfcon or have it shipped. Either way you know it’s coming in the end of the month
