I think you may have misunderstood what I was aiming for. I agree that these takes on the characters are highly stylized and I love them for it. They are some of the most exciting realeses going on. When I said I would like a more G1 reminiscent head I did not mean a slavishly G1 head. That would be ridiculous and out of place. I just would like an alternate that takes more design cues from G1. The head currently reminds me more of Galvatron from the comics and it looks great for what it is. For me it really comes down to the horns. I like the layout of the G1 horns better, that’s all. It’s a subjective thing and all based on opinion of style.

 

He wins out as he does all except my lowest rank requirement, whereas potp rodimus doesn’t fulfill my no1 priority of scaling with prime and galvatron. As for big cannon he is far too big compared to prime aka striker Manus and the other s3 cons.

depends on the Rodimus, MMC Rodimus? most likely, dx9 Carry not likely, and i have a feeling that the space Winnebago that MT does will be able to stand toe to toe with MT spacesteriods Galvy   don't get me wrong i'm not a Galvy hater, but Rodimus is my 2nd fav figure and he's never looked better than his corrupted but very dated Shadow Scyther persona

 

I like the Rodimus design but he's in for a fight against that Galvatron I mean he's like the IDW Galvatron on steroids and Rodimus looks bad ass but at a major disadvantage against this guy but I like it because it fits with how I imagine Rodimus vs Galvatron to be like the under dog new Prime vs the Ultimate Decepticon Emperor

 

Yeah, but Maketoys' Rodimus concept looks like a freakin' Japanese Super Robot. By that design, he'd laugh in the face of impossible odds, and grasp victory from the jaws of defeat. In that nature, the more he looks like an underdog, the more powerful his burning spirit will become in the end.

i'm just hoping it's a prime not just a Rodimus and that they do a badass SG repaint with mustache face and optional death mask face

if it turns out to be a Prime and gets the SG repaint treatment he will replace MMC who replaced FPs on the Dark Counsel Shelf, if it turns out to just be a Roddy well then it'll come down to looks and size

 

How does Galvatron scale compared to Rioter Despotron and Striker Manus

 

From images we've gotten, I believe he's around a head taller or so.

 

I'd say that makes sense and works for my personal taste
