TTGL was like show muscle where the dude looks ripped but breaks a sweat cleaning his riding mower.

You want real, power muscle? Fucking GGG man, that show was ripped and knew how to use it.

 

Oh my god people need to shut the hell up about that goddamn repaint already because technically it wasn't Blitzwing. If such people (not you, just the people who are doing ANYTHING to justify something that even resembles Bay era nonsense nameslapping at this point) paid attention, Cloud Starscream is using Doubledealer's head and not Blitzwing's. It was also an e-hobby exclusive and beyond Sunstorm who was already technically a G1 character as a Rainmaker in that one episode, when the hell has anybody in an official capacity within the (Hasbro side) franchise actually given a damn about e-Hobby stuff? Especially dated stuff from three years ago that people forgot because beyond the novelty of molds being used wholesale as completely different characters (I.E. Hellwarp is a Sky-Byte repaint because Hellscream was a thing once), and the ONLY reason it's even relevant now is specifically because people think Knight is referencing an obscure exclusive most people didn't pay much attention to from three years ago.

Plus, last I checked, everybody HATES that mold, so why would there be a reference to a toy that is widely loathed (I think it's a fine figure myself) for a character who suspiciously seems to only exist within one scene? Not to mention the likelihood he doesn't triple change which kind of blows that theory further out of the water.

Furthermore, if it was an homage to that toy, then wouldn't logic dictate that it should really be a Blitzwing colored Starscream given the non triple changing status? Otherwise, that's like saying the G1 looking Prime is also an homage to a thing that exists involving Starscream, because Starscream wore an Optimus Prime costume at one point for some reason in the G1 cartoon (and some version of a non-transforming G1 Optimus posable figure came with Starscream parts specifically because of this).

As do I, but I swear people act like it's one of the worst things ever made. It certainly isn't the greatest voyager ever made but a design flaw that makes moving the arms around kind of a pain due to the involved transformation certainly doesn't entirely outweigh the benefits like ankle joints and wrist swivels...which largely disappeared from Generations after T30.

 

I, for one, welcome our new insect overlords.

 

Love the 80s retro love, yes it's being nearly over done right now. But that doesn't mean I don't mind seeing it around because yes it does give me a dose of nostalgia. Haters gonna hate and I'm going to sit back and enjoy the run up to the film.

And I need that Bee with the boombox on his knee on a shirt or poster. It's saying "back in the day this is how we did music". Boombox superior, iPods inferior.

 

Eh, I just think the new one is plain and boring. The jet mode is kinda nice, but I think the T30 one is a lot more creative and has a lot of heart the TR one doesn't. That one just felt like a by-the-book, standard triplechanger that didn't try to be anything unique. But I get why most dislike the T30 mold, it could certainly be frustrating if you don't have the patience to handle a fiddly bot such as him. He's not perfect, but then again, none of them will be until we get a Blitzwing that turns into a Panzer IV and a Stuka, and has a Stahlhelm in robot mode like TFA Blitzwing and a Cybertronian Luger. Or is that just me?  

 

So do you get two VW bumblebees? I mean the more the merrier but it’s a bit repetitive.

 

I can just see some kids looking at that box.. "Mommy.. why is it filled with all the same thing? This is boring give me the phone back!"
