It's two Jazz legs, isn't? Left leg is Jazz in dark lighting and the right leg is Jazz in a darker deco again? I can't find a good picture of the boxart, though, so I can't be sure of anything.

 

The closest I can find is this image, and if you look rrrreeeeeeaaaaaallllllllyyyyyy close, you can see Jazz's color scheme on the knee, I believe.

 

This art must have been created before POTP got chopped down to just barely over 3 waves. I wonder who they originally intended that right leg to be...

I could not find that box art to save my life.   It does look like Stepper, and then there's that other leg that's clearly Jazz, I agree with what Neko-bot77 said. Probably intended to do Stepper (or whoever), but then POTP got cut short to make way for The War For Cybertron Trilogy, so we might not see him come to fruition. Thanks dude!

The only Power of the Primes figure that hasn’t been announced that I’m looking forward to is Flywheels. Battletrap is an awesome figure. I probably won’t buy anything else actually.

 

I've been MIA , going on a couple of months , I must have missed something ? G2 defensor ? , Dinoking ? Last I heard was a suspension of Dinoking and foks assuming that Inferno , wreackgar ECT being an gomage of sorts .. im very intrigued to hear this , I know Wildfly's head was on Cutthroats body , so I'm honestly hoping we get MONSTRUCTOR ., we can only hope he's one of the surprises we were told to expect , aside the Trilogy exclusives ?! I honestly hope he's not shelved .. At the same time , I have a bit of disdain towards the fact he's not done in Devy style , Scramble City is not my first choice .. I know most are burnt out on gestalts , I am in the sense that everysievery character being a possible limb , however , I am not burnt out what's so ever at the thought of getting the remaining G1 gestalts .. I'm aching for a PIRANACON .. all sex Seacon's Hasbro/TT .. Let's hope this Trilogy is some way, some how connected to the current one, You never know ...We are seeing the Target masters ect ..

 

Hmmm. I think Punch/Counterpunch was supposed to be the end all of Prime Wars toys (although Wreck-Gar is technically sneaking out after him). Our best hope for more would probably lie with TakaraTOMY. I'm still hoping for the LG EX releases of the Autobot Targetmasters. Those NEED to happen.

 

I just want the rest of the Primes with Prender shells. I would be fine with an Amazon exclusive 4 pack for about $22.

 

Aw God's I hope n pray we do get a Hasbro representation of her right leg , because Jazz is most certainly her left leg .. I figured out from the get go that the none beasts seem to have unique fists/armor , I saw it as though , that's the team they go to .. for the most part any way , aside Punch/Counter punch having Elita's tram mates fist/armor mold , and Wreackgar of course as a Junkion , would have a spiked fist ..it makes sense to me .. this is just my opinion , but I think Hasbro probably had those intention before the line started .. who really knows .. But most have ignored Jazz actually being a Hasbro depicted limb of Elita Inf1nint , I always try to capture what Hasbro / TT portray .. Inferno is the Galvatronus of the line .. a very nice torso imo anyway , the colors are so beautiful together , only terrible part about it is that it's an absolute repaint of an overly used mold , I mean I could have pulled my hair out during CW , Jesus Christ it's almost as if they couldn't design another way to transform a truck , aside an 18 wheeler , they had no problem shelling the hell out of the robot modes , why not change those Combiner thighs ? Just OMG's !! And yet again , we get that same old , dead firetruck ..Let it die Hasbro , bury it , throw a rose on the grave and walk away ..lol.

 

Okay so let me exaplain. The defensor was part of the G2 defensor hypothesis which goes as follows. “If inferno and wreckgar are protectobot retools in vaguely G2 colours then we will get other characters done in a similar fashion to create a pseudo G2 defensor becasue the boxsets didn’t do so well.”
Now dinoking. At certain prerelease photos we saw retooled parts that were clearly designed to be either dinoking or monstructor. We saw the photos of cutthroat and he had wildfly’s head instead of his own. We also saw snarl with a gun above his head which was also based on some other member.
None of this happened becasue PotP got canceled. I hope some of these ideas at least get another chance.

 

Dinoking is more likely than Monstructor because we saw Snarl with Doryu’s double gun on Snarl’s head. Slog would have no need for it or have any business coming from that mold for that matter.

The Wildfly/Yokuryu head on Cutthroat works either way since Yokuryu would be fine with Swoop and Wildfly is fine with Cutthroat and they’re from the same mold.

In any case, at this point, the lines are so short and fast we’ll be talking about the series after Siege before you know it.

 

I would love if they continued the whole pretender shells concept to include both years of pretenders


I'm still kinda surprised that we never got an exclusive of POTP Starscream retooled into Leozack or whatever his name is. The Sky Lynx retool in CW is not worthy of the name but the limbs in that set are great. If we still had botcon, that would've been a perfect opportunity to do that.

 

Ditto. But go one step further and make it a five pack, including the cancelled Grand Pretender shell and a repainted HASBRO Cerebros headmaster.

 

Remaining Prime Masters in shells would be awesome. Only other thing I would want for POTP exclusives (not counting Seacons, as they seem a bit of a stretch) would be 2 deluxe cons to finish the SS combiner. Low hanging fruit: use the Ghost SS head from Grand Galvatron as Skywarp and Thundercracker. Mold already exists. Simple recolors.

 

Flywheels is happening in Siege, not PotP.

 

I love it when one of my threads returns from the great beyond. I think the smart money is that POTP is finished now that Punch is out and Wreck-Gar is about to hit shelves at Walgreens. Flywheels showing up in Siege is more evidence. There have been plenty of threads about the missed opportunities from this line but i think that the window for future exclusives is shut. There would have been leaks like everything else this year.

I think that Inferno is the best use of the Hot Spot base mold. I used it with the Sky Reign deluxe cars and its a great looking combiner. I wish that people would stop complaining about mold reuse. Its a fact of the business and the design teams at Hasbro have to manage their budget well to get everything out. The combining gimmick increased the base budget costs of each size class and just intensified the reuse. Some of the uses and changes were ill advised but overall it achieved a laudable goal. All of the original Sunbow teams were released and some impressive new teams. It will happen in Siege too and in every line in the future.
