Interesting. What's wrong with the wheels he has now? (Aside from being reused from another toy.)

Nothing really, they're just re-purposed from the Bocton exclusive's wheels. Buuuuut, Nonneff was nice enough to answer my question about them, and here's what he said:

"The rims would be injected in red ABS, with the tires injected in black silicone." Which sounds awesome to me.

Earlier he said that he was "Testing demand for a tire upgrade set for P/CP as well." So if this is something you folks want, make your voice heard on his Twitter!

He also suggested maybe soaking them in warm water to soften the plastic, but I'm a bit nervous trying that after badly warping my TR Blitzwing tank cannon (and then breaking it because Imma dummo)

Got him yesterday and oh wow is he awesome! I love how they managed to get both robot modes to work, the vehicle mode is super solid. I think my favorite part is the head gimmick, its just so smooth! I do wish they had found a way for it to click into place on either side but oh well. Definitely 10/10 from me

    that picture is beautiful.

I’m loving this figure. Only real complaint is that I wish he had a second gun instead of the hand/armor gimmick, but i understand why it’s included. So happy to have an update to one of my absolute favorite G1 toys, especially one that really works so well. I liked the club versions, but they were clearly limited by not being designed to be PCP originally.

This guy is great! Did the shoulder fix, perfect. I ended shaving the yellow tabs on Punch's shoulders so they aren't stressing the plastic. Wonderful toy. Exactly what I wanted.

Anyone know what the rotation joint inside the car front halves that the jointed arm connects to is for? I get why it swivels at the robot's shoulder, but the second swivel inside the car halves doesn't seem to serve any purpose.

No problems with mine (was able to transform out of the box, no shoulder fix)......May go on Shapeways or eBay for G1 Weapons......

Anyone else think, with some different knees/ elbows, this mold, or some of the engineering, would be used for Pointblank, Nightbeat/ Minerva and maybe Crosshairs (Sureshot too, if there’s the extreme difference like Triggerhappy, Misfire and Slugslinger with the Autobot Targetmasters)

I've been wondering that myself! 4 joints in the shoulder kibble and only 3 are actually used for anything. Maybe it's for an alternate transformation of a future remold?

If all else fails he'll eventually come out from Takara in identical form for a price that won't be outrageous like the secondary market. If preorders don't exist already they will soon.

Yes, all of these copies can transform out of the box with no shoulder fix. Just...try the shoulder fix. It's so much obviously better. Connections are more solid and more satisfying. It's just better.

I really like how much freedom there is with the shoulder kibble. I think the Autobot side works very well in this configuration. The arms have less hindrance in their movement. And the G1 figure had thick upper arms in Autobot mode, so the look makes sense to me.

I've found myself liking this guy a lot more over these last few days. He's been next to my computer and I find myself occasionally switching from Punch to Counterpunch and sometime later doing it again. Simple as it may be, it's neat in it's own way.
