I cancelled items before on BBTS and it when back in stock on their website right away...sometimes if its a hot seller and they catch it back in stock they'll jack up the price.

 

Odd, bc I got the opposite answer when I contacted them about the Hot Toys Hulkbuster preorder. I knew someone that wanted to cancel and I was going to snag his when he cancelled, but asked BBTS first to make sure and they said their system isn't setup like that. I had to watch their site 24/7 for a week.

Either way its gone.

 

Could it be price point related maybe? I've heard (never actually looked) the Hulkbuster was particularly expensive.

 

Not sure. I have 2 FT X on preorder, but I wouldn't dare to cancel them to try and find out. For those of you that are sure about what the FT rep said via FB you want to test it out lol?

"Warehouse find" = Standard tactic made notorious by TFSource where an issuer would hold back some stock only to list them when prices are amendable.

 

Next month will mark the 1 year anniversary of the only reissue for FT-10 Phoenix. I think it's time for a 2nd reissue.

But knowing dalianjj, he might troll GP by doing another Swoop. Because why not?

 

I wouldn't mind new updated G1 3P MP style Swoop from Perfect Fusion/Fanstoys. Soar and Scoria are the only FT dinos IMO that have that early FT feel to them. All the other FT dinos including PF Cesium have a newer, more durable feel to them.

 

Telsa could use a toon re-do as well and better materials.

 

Hell, Tesla could use a lot of fixes as well! Some added locking points for some of the hinging panels.

 

It sounds like you're trying to frame it as bad? What do you think of a convention dealer that brings ten of some item but only puts one on the table at a time?

I've really found that some collectors value scarcity above all other attributes. In order to sell into that market, you have to manufacture exactly that perception. The downside is that sometimes you end up with "lost" stock. I have stuff that's probably "worth" triple MSRP now that I couldn't give away at Ollies prices four or five years ago. It's just buried somewhere because at some point I said "fuck this" and stopped taking it to shows. While I wouldn't put it past the bigger players to do that on purpose, there is the fact that a warehouse is much larger than a spare bedroom, meaning more places for odds and ends to hide...

I don't understand how I could have framed it as "bad". I was just stating a fact. And there's a downside to hoarding as well. Prices might never be amendable down the road.
