I just got mine yesterday. Did the shoulder fix even before transforming. Rather easy fix. Still need to fix/shave the tabs on the shoulders for Punch mode so the wheel pieces fit with ease with out stressing plastic. Those thigh swivels really need work! Over all this is my favorite car bot. This figure, as everyone else has stated, is amazing!

A couple missed opportunities, though, first the chest opening in car mode has a full seat. It is so obvious. Why the designers didn't adjust the mold to accommodate a titan or prime master properly driving the vehicle is really bewildering. It looks like someone was headed in that direction and then, stopped. Weird! The other miss is that because of the cool looking second cockpit, the way the car halves fold down you can see a flight mode. This figure could have added a real second vehicle mode with just a little bit more development. If this mold was to be reused i can see an Armada Blur or a stylized tracks for the next line. The movie line people could follow the same transformation recipe and some heavy retooling and give us a complete triple changing movie drift. Hell this mold could give us a Cybertron Seige Springer!

 

I'll take pics in a bit, but be careful with the fenders on the shoulders, mine are starting to crack and fracture.

Left is pretty much cracked all the way through, right is not... Yet.

Also, the peg holding the legs together is stressed pretty bad, too. (All the way around.)

 

Yeah that part I plan to file or cut down some how before use. I attached one side with ease but there was some stress in the fender. After seeing that I don't fully attached that part.

Holy crap, I just saw this on mine. Yep time widen the hole on the other side.

 

Yea my Punch's peg on his legs is stressed, but his shoulder pads aren't cracked or stressed yet because guess what my punches shoulder slots are mis molded and are too small to even be pegged in so I can't even lock them into place.

Don't get me wrong the figure is amazing but some of these tolerances just make me sad.

 

Mine arrived and he's glorious. I was worried after seeing "shoulder fix" videos galore recently, but when transforming mine I had zero problems once I figured out how it all pegs together. And when it does... solid as a rock. Great in all modes too. Just a gem of a figure.

Secondarily, I really love the packaging they're doing for these Amazon 'exclusive' figures. Even the instructions got the primo treatment, being all glossy and what not.

 

I'm glad you're happy with your figure as-is, but I find that part of your review to be slightly contradictory.

If you had to spend time figuring out how it all pegs together, then that's a problem. When the shoulder pieces are flipped, there is no figuring out of anything. It just all comes together.

 

Meaning... the pegs are fine and the design is fine, but I had to make sure everything pegged together as designed. It didn't require any special abilities or instructions. It just took a hay second to figure out where things go. But again, when they do go together I had no problems and can't see why the copious videos recommending a shoulder fix.

 

Well, then don't watch the videos, instead read all the commends of people who said that they DID have trouble and that the fix helped make it better  

 

Just a tip. There is no need to come across as snarky or ill-tempered when I didn't feed any of that your direction. You have zero idea as to my intent regarding the "fix" videos. I merely meant it worried me, but fortunately it didn't turn out to be an issue with mine.

It's always best to ask for clarification rather than assume and try to make the other person look or feel small while elevating yourself. That rarely makes friends and influences people.

Yeah, it's not worth it. A total missed opportunity by HasTak. Especially since there is a molded out pilot seat!!!!!

 

Mine finally shipped as night and I should be getting it tomorrow,cant wait.
