The fact that they did a Howlback but no Garboil also feels incomplete to me. Eject is a good one to bring up as well.

 

Yeah like we already got buzzsaw and I’d say that one was better. All they needed to do was “frenzy” and eject. Maybe roasana or enemy would be nice.

 

Steeljaw?

 

Steeljaw would've required retooling to look right. I think people were only discussing other options that could've been straight repaints of existing molds (since what all the figures in this set are).

Do Steeljaw with the Stripes tooling in yellow - the head is different - as I suspect was the intention before RID2015 said "you can't have Steeljaw, we're using the name, change the name" which made them go Stripes....

 

True actually. 'Twas a different head indeed. Also nothing against you but that whole name argument is bullshit. Like nobody was gonna get those two figures confused. As much as nobody was gonna get the two bumblebee’s confused. But that aside. It was kinda cool to get stripes steel jaw would’ve been appreciated.

 

Dude, just this past Friday I was at a store witnessing and elderly couple looking for Cyberverse Ultra Bumblebee, literally with photos of him on their mobile phone, and a store clerk (the store didn't have any Cyberverse toys) was trying to shill them that electronic Simba Dicke TLK Bumblebee toy, insisting it was the only yellow one they had and the name matched too.

So yes, people who aren't hardcore fans do and will get different toys of the same name confused.

 

Is that bee even out yet? I only remember seeing the tease for it. I’m not saying hardcore fans need to do this. The store guy should be able to inform. Also using the bumblebees is an unfair comparison since that hasn’t stopped for years. Yet when we get the chance to have an actual steel jaw we can’t cause there’s another one.

 

Titans Return Clobber wasn't named "Grimlock" because of the RID figure too.

 

It pisses me off so much that the cassettes are in the stupid Bumblebee pack, instead of with Soundwave. Textbook cash grab.

Stop packing G1-style figures with Bayblebee!

 

While I'm not interested in the 1-Step Bee, I'm happy that the cassettes aren't packed with Soundwave, since I already have the mold and don't need it again just for the minor retooling. I'd imagine there are others in the same boat.

 

I also have Soundwave, but I would much rather have two Soundwaves than Bayblebee.

 

Glad I'm not the only one who liked the first CW Buzzsaw was nicer. I wouldn't mind them milking the molds just a little more though. I'd love the Kiss Players cassettes and Enemy would be nice as well. Maybe toss in Flipsides.

 

Honestly I just want all the kiss players done in titans return format. In fact I’m working on a digibash of it.

Mostly re-paints, but it's nice to get some new box sets for the Xmas season! I can't remember the last time Hasblow bothered to do something for Xmas...

And technically, this is for the BB movie, which is only coming out on Xmas because of the low budget, cinematic competition, and generally lackluster Summer TF ticket sales!  

HINT: Release a cool Xmas-themed set again, Hasbro!!!   COME ON...

Sawback would have been Steeljaw, to pair up with TM Ramhorn. I mean he has Steeljaw's silver wings, something Lione didn't have. Stripes was always intended to be Stripes.

 

Hmmm. I never thought of that. I just thought there’d be two convert tapes for each side with overkill and ram horn.
