They are perfect companions for Sarge at least given their similar lack of paint ;)

The alt-modes of the GT figures tend to be second to no none! Besides, GT combiners have all the combiner parts integrated!

Use copters blades as kunai in combined mode, maybe daggers. I just wish they'd show colored images of the combined mode, I'm sure by now they know what colors they want everything to be

Late Nov? Man fuck these guys. How can these companies separate two combiners by 11 months?

It kind of feels like they don't even want to f'ing do it anymore, like they're just going to give up on it. They seem more interested in their other projects. Whatever the reason, this kind of gap is a sure-fire way to kill interest in a release. Lot of good stuff out or coming, too, to compete for dollars.

The look of this set is awesome, but I was waiting for colored pics of combined mode (not just digibashes) and and estimated release date for the last bot.

Main reason I stayed away from Sarge is that I hate having one or two parts of a combiner without knowing when it'll be finished...

This is the only group of figures I know I’m buying in the near future. :dj

Would have loved this to have been finished sooner...but on the bright side...money spread out into next year :)

I'm still keeping my preorders because I already got one. In my experience, I missed out on some other third party combiners in the past. Then I had to pay booku bucks to get ahold of the others all at once. I can wait. My collection is coming to completion and I'm sure they're going to release these guys eventually.

Show-Z has Blades being released in late November. If GT (finally) come through on that and then keep to the same release schedule for each figure, we'll be able to put Defensor on our shelves in Feb 2021.

I might be dead by then.

Just to pour a little salt in there, Z actually updated its listing to show Blades as releasing in December, which I take as code for "don't know when it's coming."

    June 2021 then.

I'll definitely be dead by then.

Either A) they know they have us over a barrel because there truly are no other good Protectobot options and companies like FT, Zeta or TFC haven’t even shown a render

Or B) the demand and pre-orders have been so little they just don’t see the point

I don't think it's B, as Warbotron/GT/TFM has a pretty solid fanbase by now, and their products sell well. and there's even enough demand to support multiple KO's of their designs as well.

Or A to a certain extent. Most people by now have fallen on either the Toyworld scale for their combiners or the Warbotron, and are not likely to defect either way as there's too much money and time already invested. A Toyworld scaled Defensor isn't going to affect orders for GT's as they're targeting different parts of the market at this point. They can take their time because they want to get a quality product out there (Streetwise had a few issues I'm sure they don't want a repeat of) and they're not rushing to beat anyone to the market as it stands.
