Doubt it's delayed. Releases release last Saturday of the month.....the 27th. The initial release date like most of the time was never correct. Maybe that should be stickied somewhere

As well as all the Japanese fans who actually did grow up with Diaclone... but we all know none of them frequent these boards.

I noticed something look at photos:



They painted the black curve on the inner half of his feet, underneath where the real hood sits, to match the hood that's folded away at his butt. A nice little touch.

 

its such a painful crime that this has an eternally better head then the regular sunstreaker

Yep, and the detailing on the legs as well. The headsculpt is IMHO phenomenal, even without the wonky ears, that are the signature.

 

Eh, not a big fan of the "King Tut" head or the leg keloids myself. Be nice if we have an option for heads with Red Streaker as,I prefer MP-39s

 

Probably worth noting for y'all that Red Sunstreaker (Would it even be acceptable to call him anything but Spin-Out?) will probably have this guy's headsculpt. And moreover, it'll be a yellow version. So then it'd just be a matter of swapping his head with MP-39's if you prefer the toy version.

 

Not to be the pessimist, but we are assuming that there will be a red Streaker right? As much as a black Ironhide and a Deepcover lets say.

 

Given the historical significance of Red Sunstreaker (the first Diaclone figure and therefore the first Transformer to ever be put on shelves) I'd be pretty surprised and let down if they didn't release an MP of him. Sunstreaker also only really has so many repaint options, as it's just Yellow, Red, Police and a possible Toy deco and the mold is complete. It may take a while, especially since they won't want too many Sunstreakers out at once, but it'd be a crime if they didn't make him period.

 

Lets hope so. For those that want him that is. As soon as I get my hands on Cordon he is probably going to be my last chance regarding TT and their figures. If he too fails me.....More power to you guys who want him I guess.

 

Well if Takara people pay attention to IDW continuity enough to utilize “Delta Magnus”, I have sufficient faith that they are aware of Of Masters and Mayhem, if not the TFWiki.

 

Wish he wasn't so pricey. I'd buy 2 then and just canabilize the head from one (and maybe the leg panels depending on how tough that is.

But at this price I'm not likely to buy more than one.

 

I can see now a lot of returns to Amazon Japan:

"Yes that's right, it came with no head, no shin panels, and no speed-trap gun. Most unusual. A replacement? Oh no thanks, I'll just return this one..."

 

Nostalgia is a powerful thing. I personally don't like this face sculpt and would never put it on Sunstreaker, and the leg detailing just looks like unnecessary greebling that detracts from the otherwise clean form. But I understand that those who grew up with the G1 toy may find this more appealing.

 

Never had the toy. Dont cared for it (or Streaker himself either). Its that I dont like bland bots on my display.

 

Just paid off my Cordon. Came to 100 USD shipped from AJP.
