I'll probably get it for a trailer and Matrix for GT Prime, and maybe the head. I'm not a fan of the back, the Hank Hill butt, the void in the inside of the second from the top shin louvre, the forearm flaps, or that skinny bar hinge solution of a double jointed elbow that leaves him with no elbow.

I'm glad to see it still happening though. I still love their Ratchet and Ironhide, and hope to be able to use more figures from their line if it continues.

Looks so good I might have to double dip on this one. I never gave up hope this would come to fruition!

Hopefully too they can milk the mold and do the inevitable repaints like Nemesis Prime, Ultra Magnus, etc.

Daaaang I REALLY don't want to have a Prime that's bigger than Magnus but what choice do I have now? This thing looks great but I am more than a little peeved that they cannot get Prime right at the 10cm size. This would be taller than GT's Megatron, which I think everyone would agree is FAR superior to DX9's WIP Mightron.

Alas, Hybrid Prime remains the best option(IMHO) for true Legends-scale representation.

EDIT: I must also say that while Dutch certainly capable, the 100% Sunbow cartoon aesthetic just does not sit well with me. Nor does the Fanny Pack in front of the legs...

...I'll still be picking Dutch up at TFCon ;-)

You must be new around here, We go by the legends plus 12-13cm leaders scale in these parts, MPHS & MFT agree.

Maybe you just need an MFT Magnus.

    :)

That's MFT's megatroun he's next to in that one picture in the first post right? That should be a pretty good indicator of how tall he'll be, unless they changed his height in this redesign too.

Actually, I just know what I want for my collection. I have had the MFT Magnus for a while now, but decided that it's way too big for what I am doing with my collection. I believe Magic Square's version will become my definitive Legends Scale Magnus, but I digress. I find that the Hybrid Style prime is my ideal size Transformers figure, so almost everything IF and DX9 has done up till now has been great for me, save for the general "pricey-ness" of their products.

MFT products are fine(especially the Diaclone stuff), but their TF characters are mostly too big to really go well with the collection that I am building(save for their Omega Supreme). MPHS's Soundwave and Bumblebee were similarly much too big(thank you New Age!). I really like the WIP/IF original scale they were making their figs in; interactivity with the Titan Class HasTakTomy stuff, as well as the comparable size to Action Masters/Microman/GI Joe action figures, and interactivity with plain old Hot Wheels/Matchbox stuff, was all pretty appealing to me. I realize I am in the smallest minority on this, as most people seem to like the "Legends Plus" size.

None of this makes me "New Around Here". I just prefer the original size of 'Legends' figures as opposed to the recently more popular "Legends+" stuff.

I don't know if it's more popular but the reason I collect legends+ instead of legends is all the figures are in the $15-20 range which is all that a figure this size should cost. Iron factory, dx9, and magic square all charge too much.

I read the above as you being surprised that they (meaning MPHS) couldn't do it 'right at 10cm' (meaning do it at the right height of 10cm.

Now I realise you meant 'they' as in, everyone else who does figures in the 10cm leader scale.

It seemed you were surprised that MPHS did bigger figures, after releasing all their other figures bigger.

If that is not the case I apologise.

That elbow design does worry me...
I hope it won't be as easy to break as it looks.

    OK THAT was funny!

I agree, Figures this size range should not cost more than Deluxes and Voyagers do in the store. However, when the character is a lot closer to what you want and the engineering is better...

Seriously tho, I like that MFT's stuff is cheaper, but if it doesn't fit in my collection, what's the point? They do make some good stuff and my Diaclone PowerSuit Corps is growing steadily. ;-)

This will be my Legends Prime.

Glad I got the MFT Megatron. The only bot I really care about matching Prime's height is Megs.

I still love both of my DX9 Megs, but I may sell one... or my kids would love one. The transformation was a b**** though.

Yeah, the transformation is not . . . easy. Once I picked up IF Starscream I just used the Megatron gun included with him as my transformed Megatron and left the DX9 in robot mode.

I had hoped Dutch was going to include a 3mm Megatron gun.
