Normally it's tiny biceps with overly long forearms but this is the extreme opposite.

I'm hoping because it's Legends it won't bother me much.

I have long been tempted to move to Legends scale collecting (thanks to Machine Boy oversized Optimus Prime and Megatron, and MFT oversized Ultra Magnus), for space and budget reasons. This Wheeljack figure is another push in that direction, although the forearms are a little strange.

Forgot about the toy world jazz - not so keen on that one, but wheel jack looks like he might be cool. Would have to have ankle tilts for me, and the short forearms do look odd, but otherwise I like him. Nice to see more g1 legends producers too (for me, at least).

That's nifty, and I'm glad Exhaust is thought of from the get-go.

Hopefully there's a chance Slicer can be included too?

I'm surprised to see Toyworld throw their hat in the ring, but I guess the Legends market is either doing very well or is a good sub-business to enter into (i.e. a 3P toy for every budget). I'm excited to see what they can do! I'm NOT excited about the prospect of ending up with half a dozen versions of a character because so many new 3Ps are entering the Legends market! :lol
Legends toys have a lot of benefits over MP toys:
    • Smaller carbon footprint - you can own more Legends figs because they take up less space.
    • Lower Price - Legends figs are much more affordable. Ever get annoyed you can't get that variant because you already bought the vanilla MP version? With Legends figures, you can buy BOTH and still spend less than a single MP.
    • Compatible with Titan class figs - Owning a Metroplex or Fort Max is nice, but you need to populate them to really enjoy the larger figures. With Legends toys, your Titan figures don't feel as extraneous or out of place; they actually scale with a Legends collection.
    • Better Details - smaller figures have less space to cover, so a touch of molded detail or paint covers them better than the larger MP toys (which can have a lot of smooth, bland pieces due to budget constraints).
    • Portability - Legends figures don't need to be shelved; they can travel in your pocket.
    • Durability - Legends figures tend to have less fragile parts, and also weigh much less. A tumble from your shelf will not destroy your Legends toys.
    • Obscure Figures (or bigger risks) - Legends toys are cheaper to make, so you're more likely to get those obscure characters that are too risky to produce in MP scale.

Awesome, a Wheeljack to go with my DX9 War in Pocket toys. I would like a 4th version too, Slicer.

A very nicely assembled list -- but I have never purchased an MP figure, official or 3P, and don't foresee myself ever doing so. They are just too big and too expensive for my budgets of both space and money. I have quite a few Legion scale, but only a handful of Legends. This Wheeljack is another item which is pushing me towards starting a full on Legends scale collection however.

Nice list! I’d add something about playability and transformation in there too. I think the ‘fiddle factor’ that people sometimes talk about with legends is due to their size putting positive constraints on the transformation sequences. I dread transforming most of my mps, but (though there are plenty of exceptions) the smaller legends size tends towards simpler and more fun (to my mind, at least) transformations.

I'm waiting to see size comparisons but these seem interesting.

Not the size comparison you thought , but that’s what they gave 10372443-3964-430F-B9DF-E8A22CEC26B1.jpeg

Still useful. All you need is a Starbucks sleeve and you can see how they will compare to other figures.

Maybe it's just me but he seem over simplified in comparison to other car bots in this scale. Maybe there is some unique feature but looking at the pics on page 1 this looks like an Hasbro figure. Very underwhelming hollow legs and arms.

Looks quite small, wonder if this some kind of Newage legends scale carbot that maybe around 7cm tall or something. Hope i am wrong... Maybe the square hands are compatible... Edit it says 9cm on their weibo.

I like him enough but a few could have been betters, sculpting on the wings, the wheel somehow not sticking out so much and of course arms.

    Hmm

My question is whether anyone else will ever do their own Kamen Rider Exhaust, too.

I like the alternate head sculpt and deco, but I dunno if IF or MST might have Exhausts planned for the next year or so, as well. In which case, more options, more betterer.

Depending on how big the hand is in that pic, he looks as though he would size fine with DX9 and Iron Factory, MS figures.
