Folk, we already heave GREAT MEGATRON

Why do youneed another one? I think it would be better if we would get aoe Galvatron, he definitely needs an upgrade from that figure

YMMV but in my opinion, DOTM Megs is a great toy with utterly and hilariously off proportions. Mackatron was bulky while Voyager Megs is slender and skinny (a similar problem Deluxe SW had).

Also, he’s freakin’ tiny. The only Optimus figure he can scale well with is the Deluxe. SSOP needs a new Mackatron worth his time (and decapitation).

Galvatron deserves another shot but I think Mackatron needs it more.

 

DOTM voyager Megs is a great toy (I'm messing with it now because this news is making me all nostalgic), but that design absolutely deserves a more detailed, accurate leader-class figure with a properly sized alt mode. The chance that we might finally get one has my hopes dangerously high.

That Galvatron design, on the other hand, deserves to be melted down and buried as far as I'm concerned. Bring on Leader Megs!!

 

As I mentioned a few days ago in my thread (Studio Series vs TF toys movieverse, on the boards page \"Toys\"), as Leader class I would like Scorn... in robot mode higher than Grimlock of at least 1 cm, and the Spinosaurus a little longer and bigger than the T-REX! I read that among the new Deluxe class there will also be Crankcase... so it is likely that for next year the Hasbro will also realize Hatchet, so as to complete the Dreads team! 

 

I think some people need correcting...as long as robot mode scale is prioritized in this line there will be no leader class megatrons. TLK, DOTM, or otherwise.

 

Which would make DOTM Megatron a highly unlikely candidate as a voyager class cannot handle the mass shifting that would be required to give a voyager class robot a Leader sized vehicle mode. Ditch the trailer and it'll work perfectly, but then it isnt movie accurate anymore.

Besides didn't we already get something about one of the leaders being a Jetfire not completely ruined by electronics and a combining gimmick?

 

QFT. Hobo-with-a-shotgun-Mega-man isn't just a cab like Prime, the full trailer, etc. all help form the bulkier mass of the bot mode.

I do wonder how they would incorporate the cloak/truck tarp though. I'd be fine with a more static piece like the DOTM Voyager, but I feel like that piece is iconic to that design's look.

 

I think it could work. Dream factory managed to get a the alt mode relatively in scale for their leader Megatron, yet the robot mode is also in scale with Leader Prime. It would be a lot like Blackout. I doubt that will be the leader, though.

 

As always, scale=robot mode scale regardless of alt. mode.

Unless they can make a leader sized alt. mode shrink to the size of the new voyager ROTF megs, DOTM megs will be voyager class if he’s made.

 

DOTM Megatron is tricky, too big for voyager but too small for leader, unless he comes with an accessory like Igor or Laserbeak

 

i hope we can get devastator by collecting 7 separate figures!! i wished we got long haul first

 

voyager wave 4 is already confirmed as starscream from tf2

 

all they really need to do to blackout is get rid of the radome, add a 7th blade to the main rotor, a third engine exaust port on the side behind the main rotor and tilt the tail piece 20 degrees out to the side and theres grindor

 

Also make him green. And Redeco scorponok into his stalker variant!

Just strange that besides Bonecrusher and Optimus, that the Amazon Listings didn't also reveal any Studio Series Voyagers.

 

We dont know a small part by my count at most 10 unknowns all the better I like surprise
