Interested in the bomber Megatron and full size IDW-ish Prime. Would like to get them depending on how big they are but I doubt they’ll scale with other MP IDW stuff

It’s ok. Model kits usually clip together these days. Although there could be parts that require glue or work better with glue. Like sometimes you could have a foot that pegs in but you wouldn’t want to glue it since you then can’t move it. Or sometimes you may have a weapon that attaches together and if you want to keep it secure you could glue it. These kits look sturdy enough though.

Are Drift and Tarn the same size, or did Flame toys scale them appropriately? Because if they’re the same size, then that means Prime and bomber Megatron will be too, and thus be too small for anything outside this contained scale

Tarn is quite bigger than drift. Hence why he’s bordering on $300-400.

So are Prime and Megatron supposed to be larger than Tarn? Personally I’d prefer if they were since FT seems to be putting their own spin on certain aspects, but I also know in MTMTE Megatron and Tarn are about eye level

I can’t tell you that for sure. I’m leading towards that they’ll be a similar size.

From Flame Toys' twitter: concept sketches for the Devastator model kit that was shown off at the Hong Kong toy show.

Didn't see one, and I'm always hesitant to make additional threads for previously reported figures, but mods, feel free to move it to a better place!

Yeah, I'm super excited for the Devastator. It's Oxy, but not overly so (lol). And the size is perfect for me. If it's not too expensive and I like it I'll grap a second one and give him an SG paint job.

Speaking of that, I hope FT will also produce these kits without colored plastics (i.e. prototype grey or something).

I like that. Or do some clever cheap white decos like ultra magnus or as you said SG devastator. I dunno.

Super Build Tiger is a construction combiner from the Brave Police: J Decker subset of the Brave series. The Braves were Takara's transforming mech series that ran throughout the 90s after the "death" of G1 with Transformers Zone. The Brave shows were made in collaboration with Sunrise which lead to very unique and stylized designs that looked half Gundam and half G1. The Braves were largely unknown to the rest of the world, being just another generic robot anime, until the final Brave series GaoGaiGar was licensed for overseas distribution.

The aesthetics of the Brave Saga is pretty close to the Studio Ox transformer designs. If you enjoy the Studio Ox style, you'll love the Brave designs.

Oh I’ve heard of the legend that is brave but never gotten into the specifics of it. It’s still on my anime watch list. I absolutely love it though.

As much as I love the Brave saga, it isn't something I would recommend watching. The shows were blatant toy commercials (even more than G1) with the vast majority of episodes following the villain of the week formula. Think Power Rangers: it is something that you could really only appreciate as an adult if it was an integral part of your childhood. GaoGaiGar is about the only one I'd recommend trying as an adult though the last 5 episodes of Might Gaine get an honorable mention for the severe mood whip lash that turned a kid's show into the apocalypse.

The designs are still absolutely beautiful though. The Braves are a perfect time capsule of popular 90s mecha.

I'm sure it will be a very good figure...but I'm afraid to even think how much it will cost.
