These are really cool! Just a thought, anyone else want oversized versions of these Pretender guys to Legends Plus size?

Awesome job, will definitely get these .
Did you consider ever trying to make new fronts for the shell for the other pretenders ,like Groundbreaker, Skyhigh,Splashdown, Bugly,Finback,Iguanus,Doubleheader,Longtooth,Pincher and stranglehold?
That would be awesome.... Great work.

I wish somebody would make a full Bugly shell. I was hoping, praying & wishing Hasbro would make all the Pretenders in POTP. But just like the deluxe Insecticons they screwed me again. Bugly, Ransack, they always skip my favorite characters.:(

Well, at least I got Submarauder & Bomb-Burst so it's not a total loss.

I was also really hoping for Bugly. And Sky High (my only G1 Pretender!). Still hoping the 3rd Parties step up, but I doubt it.

Any chance of some bat wings for bomb burst that plug into the spot where the claw weapon goes on his back?

I wouldn't be surprised if we saw more backwards-compatible toys here and there. Hasbro could always make some new toys with CW/TR/PotP functionality. We might just get more Pretender shells, more Head/Titanmasters, more combiners, in the years to come. Seems like a logical expectation...

New fronts is what i am going to do next. Been concentrating on the weapons mostly but now they are done so will start soon as. There are so many of the charcters i want to do so choosing who to start with is tricky. I bought an extra Submaurauder, extra skulgrin and couple of landmines, i need at least 3 extra cloudbursts... And as many more of everything else i can stock pile....

Feel your pain. Bugly should be one of the easier ones to model, he's not high on my list either sorry(i know everyone has thier own favourite so it is hard to please all) but i hope i get there once i'm fully up.

I did do the wings in the wave3 set. I had the idea to plug/tab into the back like you say but may have obstructed the transformation so i decided to plug them into the arms instead like the g1. The bomburst wings i've made are not best part of the set, they are pretty basic, and i didn't get a chance to test them more but i am confident work for the most part.

    Fantastic work.

I know everyone's on you to make more shells, but... yeah. (personally, I'd do Waverider and Stranglehold first so those "trios" are complete, but you do you, dude.)

Love the painting there. Exciting to see them in the wild. Thanks man.

I just put up the wave 3 backpacks up for order however i have not test printed them yet. Should come in my next order then there will be pictures.

I made the backpacks so you could switch up the weapons and not have to worry where you put the tiny things.

Been busy with life so sadly not quite as far as i hoped but progress is being made. Taking time to make sure i get the details styles right operation shells.

Thanks all, will check back in soon hopefully.

Hi guys. A little update as i'm conscious it's been awhile.

Firstly, i'm stock pilling and below is my doubles acquired over time from various sources. One of the things i'm finding is it's difficult to find many cloudburst molds(i have none currently) but hope i at least get two eventually. Given how difficult it is i am basing as much as i can on the more common landmine/metalhawk mold and the skulgrin/bomburst mold!

Here's a teaser of what to expect next. Early September i hope it should be going on...

Awesome Man! Looking forward to it! I may be able to score you a couple cloudburst figures if you like/want?

Sweet Dude! So these would just replace the shell fronts, or are you going to make a whole new shell?

I would recommend the whole shell, so that it would be more easy to paint and to add other details that could potentially be harder to add/incorporate, and be cheaper than trying to find that one mold that's sold out in stores.

Thank you for the offer and i may take you up on it but for moment i still hoping i am going to come accross them somewhere. Trying to have faith.

Yes just the front and many of the fronts will come with shoulder pads to change the arms. Doing the whole shell turns the project from on the pricey side to crazy pricey if it's to be been done at high detail, saying that i might have to at some stage.

The cheaper and easier option is to buy doubles, there are 4 kinds of molds: the metalhawk/landmine/bludgeon which i am probably going to use a lot of(if i get really far in this project i could see myself using 6/8 of them), the skulgrin/bomburst mold which i have a couple plans for, the submaurauder/octopunch mold which i have a couple of obvious plans for, and finally the cloudburst which ideally i would use waverider, grimlock and the grandmax guy.

Hoarding all those guys is kind of the nitty gritty but it has to be done. At the moment primemasters are current but as times goes on maybe some collectors will let them go from their collections so pressure might less for this project. I hope anyway.
