articulation is a big part of this line, i hope they gave it everything they got

 

Looking awesome, their scaling looks perfect. Exactly how I see these characters.

Looks like both Galvatron and Skywing have all the standard joints in the wrists arms legs and ankles

Skywing has a waist swivel

Unclear if galvatron does

Galvatron has more stuff in the hip and shoulders that might get in the way of movement

 

Is the head a little small? The head's a little small...but really cool otherwise. After getting Meteor, it may just become a custom of mine to buy Maketoys figures and replace the heads, hehe.

 

There's a cut, but it's unknown how much range you'll get out of it going by the pictures one the first page. The torso might pop up to clear it and give him an ab crunch, but it remains to be seen.

 

The plus side of the armor around his waist is that it makes for a nicer overall look (compared to Buster's slightly wonky waist).

Do have to say that conservative me would have preferred this to be the same size as the first two. I was looking forward to have the boxes of the 4 main g1 leaders - all in the same size - neatly displayed on a shelf (assuming their Rodimus is not actually gonna be smaller).

 

Recently I have been interested in this kind of aesthetic...if it's comparable in size to thunder manus I'll consider buying.

 

Based on images we've gotten of Galvatron, Buster Skywing, and Rioter, Galvatron will only be around a head taller than Rioter. Looks like he has more mass though, so he's definitely going to be a more sizable figure. Meanwhile, Skywing will be a tad taller than Galvy.

MT.....if you can hear me.....please give us an optional head that’s more reminiscent of the G1 take on this character. You will get more love and praise from the community.

Still gonna get it though. I love the look of it. The only mold on this line I’m skipping is Divine Shooter. Unless I find him for under $40 or something in about a dozen years

 

I don't like those ridiculously OTT spiky pauldrons. They're just not very practical and don't look good, even when the articulation does work.

 

If video games and movies have taught us anything. Practicality is the first thing that goes out the window in fantasy. And I for one welcome our new spikey pauldron overlords.

 

I want to see this in another color scheme, it could be one of the ancient Cybertronians.

 

Well, in IDW comics Galvatron is one of the ancient Cybertronian, and this figure even with his liberties, reminds me a lot of IDW Galvatron.

 

I like that the tank mode can lay down like that. Always thought the bi-pod look was kinda dumb.

 

Well that’s because it was never a tank back then, it was a mounted cannon.

 

I wasn't too fussed about this until I happened to see the prototype, in person, at TFN. Then it flicked to "MUST BUY!".

 

This guy is gonna look very good on the shelf with that SND Nova Prime kit.
