Yeah, that first pic of Predaking really is the money shot. It shows that the waist isn't as thin as some claim, and it looks like all the connections are solid and nicely done.
So looking forward to this release!

It appears he has hand spikes in the drawing. Good to see a Devastator comparison.

Why didn't they add swords? Because TakaraTomy is no longer the fans company.

Could've been a Child Safety Law thing on Hasbro's end. Hard plastic spikes on hands that size might've been a no go. And the alternatives being nix the spikes. Or cast the hands in that shitty hard rubbery plastic that everybody hates.

And TT obviously not "fixing" it. After spending extra to fix it, maybe they got burned on Devastator and said "Nope, not this time"?

Except look at G1 Predaking, who has been reissued by Hasbro. Big fists, big spikes. We heard this argument with Scrapper's arms - that Devastator just couldn't stand if Scrapper had elbows. Except actually my Unite Warriors Devastator stands as good as if not better than any other combiner.

There was a way to do it that didn't involve rubbery plastic, they just didn't do it. I think it is much more likely the fold away design was the issue, but then they should have known better. It's a major detraction. If you are truly fans of your own characters, you would know he was THE combiner with fist spikes.

They had to remove the spikes so that the fists can fit into the feet while not in combined mode... at least that's what I'm assuming happened based on their storage placement in not-combined mode.

Yeah, but they're fairly small in comparison. The Child Safety people might've been ok with those, but not with spikes significantly larger on a bigger fist. Those people can be over-protective afterall. They've always seemed to have the mentality that kids are idiots that are gonna swallow everything in sight and go around poking themselves in the eyes with anything.

It's because it has to fit in the feet. It has nothing to do with safety.

I'll buy improved 3P fists if they find a way to integrate it into the transformation properly.

Why are you insulting others? Check yourself instead and stop condescending others for their collective choices.

It seems he was joking, at least, I'm assuming he is, what with the movie shelf comment.

Meanwhile. Thanks for posting those higher quality scans. Predaking looks awesome!

Really not sure on this one. The comprises for a toy this large just feel to great. I think I would have been ok with it, if it was at the standard CW size.

Any advantages ordering the TT version vs the US version? It’s $200+ shipped from amazon JP.

$150 here in the US and a high chance of being clearanced like Fort Max and Trypticon.

There is no difference between the Hasbro and Takara POTP figures.

Spotted one minor difference in product shots , not sure if it will be brought to final product.
More blue paint on takara’s head , while hasbro only has the head crest segment . Makes takara’s slightly more screen accurate 7DFAB9D5-8089-460A-A603-4E0AB56C072C.jpeg
