The two Walmarts that I looked at yesterday didn't have any new Deluxes.

Power of the Primes, to me, feels like a line that originally they planned to do something else with but in the end became a testing ground/dumping ground for new ideas and old ones. A last hooray, if you will. I honestly think that the decision to end the current IDW universe affected Prime Wars greatly.

The last few years gave us themes. Combiners. Headmasters. This line? We got an odd mix of scouts, combiner deluxes and voyagers that felt like they were holdovers from Combiner Wars, Leaders that had the evolution gimmick...

Don't get me wrong, I love what we got and would never trade the Dinobots or the Terrorcons for anything... but it does just feel like in the end it was a line designed to just get rid of the last ideas they had plus test out other things (like the Duocons and the Evolution figures) before we moved into Siege. And I can see some stuff like the Duocon stuff returning after Siege as the main theme.

Welp, waited to see what my situation was with the Throne of the Primes before ordering the wave three Prime Masters because I wouldn't be able to afford both. Naturally, not only didn't I get the Throne but Hasbrotoyshop ran out of the Prime Masters.

I think that I might have already asked it, but there are other reliable venues to get these guys, right? Already bugged from missing Alchemist.

 

That's pretty obvious given they had concepts for leader class Prima and Megatronus.

Got Hun-grrr. After all this waiting, he’s not all that impressive on his own. Actually probably the weakest of the Terrorcons for me. I got him for combined mode anyway, and I’m happy with that. Although I need to fix his antennas. Mine were stored weird out of the box and warped into devil horns. lol

 

I`ll bite , But contrary to what your saying here , is Jazz along side a mold mate was more than likly the intended combination , I will most always go off of the Package art ...ect ...I think King Starscream is missing 2 molds/Bots ...Idk why , but I just keep thinking / seeing MASTERFORCE taking over and providing legs with Buster and Hydra , Just seems like a likely bet ...At least I know TT is going to eventually provide the characters ....With the whole Global Brand thing going on I`d think we would all benefit from the multitude of both lore`s ...Idk , just imo ....ELITA INF1NITE just seems like shes ment to be symmetrical . Inferno seems to me to be the GALVATRONUS / BETETRON of the line ?

Thanks for this. I originally considered that Inferno was the Galvatronus/Betetron of the line too until I looked at the number of Combinable characters available from the POTP. Aesthetically, Wreck-Gar and Jazz fit the "Earth vehicle" sort of idea better than, Elita-1's partners who fit a more Cybertronian feeling (despite Elita-1 herself having an Earth-like vehicle mode, I think her theme was originally intended to be an all female team akin to Victorian, more so than a mixed male and female team).

Inferno struck me as the "Sky-Lynx" of the line, combining with the remaining character from the original team of G1 characters that were not Combiners yet like Sideswipe and... well... Jazz. It's a strong likelihood that Wreck-Gar was just going to be the "extra" character that you get through exclusives like Wild Rider or Slingshot were in Combiner Wars. But I feel like he was still intended for that team because his alt mode is more Earth-like than not. Though it could be argued otherwise because of his planet being in space...

Of course the package art ought to be considered biblical, as it is usually considered to be, but I've decided to go against it this time. If you're right about the teams eventually being covered by TT eventually through the Global Brand initiative going on, then it makes my point null and void really. I would love that to happen. For now though, I guess it's just my personal head canon just desiring to be different from everyone else because I feel Inferno is lonely.

Hey, folks, so I've got a quick question that hopefully you can help answer. On Deluxe Sinnertwin, when you swing the shoulders for robot mode, even though they lock into place, they still, like, wiggle a bit, right? I just want to make sure that's it's not some defect.

 

Mine's the same. My Snarl (same engineering) is also the same.
