I was having trouble getting Skyquake to hold his gun. He can't grip it under arm style like in the cartoon due to his pesky arms getting in the way. Plus no head joint means he's forever facing forwards, which I guess could be metaphorical . Enter Sky Snake with his 3mm hands and amazing clearances. It looks way better on him, though what doesn't! Handsome devil

I actually just binged a show that isn't a decade old already!
For the one year anniversary of my first time viewing MCU movies marathon, I decided to give a go to the Marvel Netflix series, starting with... Jessica Jones.
And ok, it was frikking good. Well, I only watched season 1 so far but that was great. Very pleasantly surprised. And Tennant best MCU villain, easilly. Had like 2 episodes for getting Scrooge McDuck out of my head when earing him but then quickly it became clear he nailed it -very- good.
+ A good old familar face as an embodiement of a rapist monster ? Almost too clever. Terrifying indeed.

    Alias
remained one of the few Bendis Marvel works I still have good memories of and the show did it more than justice. Going to watch Daredevil now, hope it's half as good.

... Yeah I definitly stopped trying with The Office 8th season.

    Exosquad is AMAZING.
Like, genuinely, nostalgia aside, really good. It was trying to be an 'american anime', and that's a good way to think of it. It's a shame the only recordings are all pretty low quality.

Good morning gentle Threadniks! For the sun is rubbing its sleepy eyes and beaming down...

My goodness, I don't have to work today either. That's two days off now since January! It's like I'm on huh...on houl...on hurli...on holi, um, something. Whatever it's called. That. I did know it, I swear I did...nah.

So then, what shall I do?

    Better Wepuns q.jpg

    ...what's that you say?

    Bots.jpg

Get my modest collection of 3P Legends out and pose them all cheering and shouting HUZZAH...

    Cons.jpg

...then take really bad photos of them of which Quinch would be proud?

    Bros.jpg

    Okay.

    Dynos.jpg

    I'll do that then.

What are you q An angel.jpg

    Becky Thatcher: “Who are you?”
    The Mysterious Stranger: “An angel.”
    Huck Finn: “What’s your name?”
    The Mysterious Stranger: “Satan.”
    Huck Finn: “Uh oh.”
The Mysterious Stranger: “What’s the matter?”
Huck Finn: “Nothing. Just that it’s sure a sorry name for an angel.”

slightly off topic but has anyone ever had a case ware UKMail will give a parcel to Royal Mail to deliver and then say it's been delivered? Ordered something off Ebay and the tracker says it's with Royal mail across the top of the page but it also says its been delivered in the tracking details just below. So I'm wondering has it gone missing or does it just mean its been delivered to royal mail. UKMails customer support literally just told me to contact the seller and could not do anything else... f**king useless.

He's a perfect monster isn't he. Everything he does is with such a casual disinterest in anyone else. He's not even trying to be nasty half the time, he just gets on with being him and if someone gets hurt... Well, not his problem is it.

    What a complete f**ker!

    Plus Tennant sells it perfectly.

Try putting the tracking code in Royal Mail’s tracking, if it still says delivered and it doesn’t turn up today go on from there

Oh, yeah, Kilgrave in the comic was basically one of the worst monster possible and I really liked that this show version added some layers into him, even if -and that's perhaps the most interesting- in the end it's not much sophisticated: He's just pure and simple monster, a man child who can't deal with being said "no". The worst kind.
    Fascinating.

So yes I was really intrigued by how a TV version could do that and Tennant was the perfect answer.

Oh and Lester Freamon as a smooth police detective ? Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit.

Yep, I remember watching it as a kid and thinking it was great, and then watching it again years later, it's still great - politics, social commentary, mature storytelling and decent animation. I'm waiting for Shout! Factory to do a complete blu ray set.

Right, this lot will be brought in a bag with me to TFN - take a couple of quid off the bigger chaps for collection at TFN if you're interested.

Killgrave was amazing. I know nothing about jessica jones except what's in the netflix shows. JJ s1 is my favourite of them all, followed closely by daredevil s1.

@Large just a helpful heads up, as you're watching them. The in show chronological order of them are:
    Daredevil series 1
    Jessica jones series 1
    Daredevil series 2
    Luke cage series 1
    Iron fist series 1
    The defenders
    The punisher
    Jessica jones series 2
    Luke cage series 2

Like the mcu films, each one makes plenty sense if you just go off one character's series (including the defenders) but there is a little ongoing continuity with certain things that make a bigger picture if seen in order. And that's all I'm saying for spoilers.

so my £5 Beachcomber arrived along with TW Evila Star...I wanted a 2nd Beachie as I painted the rollcage, suspension and lights on mine to make it more show accurate and now I have a 2nd to keep original (I make even keep it MOSC).

Evila Star is lovely, I didnt realise they did a newer version of the TFCon version with a more toon accurate head and better paint...he does look swish.

Now I have just got to decide whether to buy this at the end of the month:

Or this 2B figure from the game Nier Automata (which is £100 less):

Thanks mate, I'll go in order now then !
As for Jessica, if one day you want to be curious the Alias comics by Bendis was actually quite good. In fact I'm gonna reading it again, see if it still holds up. Been a while.

I loved Alias at the time and I think I would still love it now. I think I quite liked The Pulse too?

I'm basically a sucker for any superhero stuff where they don't really do much in the way of being superheroes but are people with problems. Matt Fraction did a good job of that in his Hawkeye more recently too.

I'm not a big comics guy, I am running out of things I know :lol

Well I guess you'd love comics with my personal hero.

I'm not sure how we went from Jessica Jones to Donald Duck but anything's an opportunity to remind the world that he is the greatest of all time.

Hate to say it, but Fraction's Hawkeye wasn't that recent any more...

    Stupid ongoing march of time.

But it was a good series, and a good change considering he was fresh from huge universe-straddling stories in Thor and his pet crossover Fear Itself. Smaller-scale, street-level storytelling works way better for Fraction.
