Wei Jiang has a good rep because of the likes of M-01 Commander so - I can't really see a reason to change it unless the name they come up with is designed to do what Mech Fans toys does now and try to sell things more to the west.
I've never bought anything from this company but i hear and watch alot of reviews on this companys transformers. I'm getting very interested in buying a figure very soon but i need to figure out which one to buy.
I really like the one where the guy said The International House of Weij,I hope that is the new name. Also WeiJiang is more known for their 4th Party Figures than they are for their Knockoffs, cause to imply knockoff means different reasons like same size cheaper plastic figs, also lousy joints and articulation. I have bought quite a few WeiJiang figs and I haven't been disappointed yet, they are if not the same quality as HasTak they are better because they one-up them by making theirs bigger so people can have that extra size to enjoy.
The Oversize RID Warrior class is them also- Unique sort of model car like combiners and The Oversize Headmasters and Toyworld Throttlebot knock offs are also them. They also do some oversize AOE Dinobots (in a rather dishy black). I'm actually looking forward to that inspired by the technobots combiner - that looks quite interesting.
Jiang Wei was the name of an actual famous Three Kingdoms general who died tragically. Had the brains and the muscle, but let down by lesser talent and corruption all around him. Not exactly inspiring. If you played Dynasty Warriors, you'd probably seen the young and handsome spear-wielder in green.
I've heard they were going to go with: Dr. Wei Jiang Or how i stopped worrying and learned to love the KO
