Thanks, I'll check mine. I prefer this as Wreck-Gar to the new one as well, although I do like both molds. Just fits Groove more than WG to me.

Today's Deskbot is a mystery bot. Not the bot himself just how I came to own him.

    IMG_20180810_095237.jpg

He randomly appeared on my desk one morning I have asked all my colleagues and nobody has a clue what I'm talking about, lol. I'm thinking maybe the cleaners saw my collection and decided to add to it?

Anyway, mysterious Blur with floppy joints, welcome to the team, lol

Bots with stories behind them are always the best kind! :)

Also, looks like you have the same spring mounted Enterprise that I have on my desk too!

I usually bring in new bots with me on a daily basis just to take pictures of, but I do have a little shelf on the wall with some semi-permanent residents. The lineup doesn't change much, but sometimes new additions are welcomed (like G1 CJ).

Feeling inspired by @barry , I went through my bin this morning and found my childhood Gobots, and brought them in.

Turns out, only Crasher and Cy-Kill are legit. :lolol

Are you sure? The white and yellow Slicks and the red, white, and blue Waterwalk were what was released in the UK.
This site is pretty good at listing international variants.
I suppose all that really matters is that you enjoyed 'em when you were a kid, right?

Oh yes, I still enjoyed having them as extra bodies in my TF collection! Though I think this morning I only learned how to convert them properly - I'm impressed how much more complicated they actually are!

Based on what I saw, the equivalents of Water Walk, Slicks, and Jeeper Creeper were released as some sort of Pepsi promotion, Spoons and the rest (including a submarine that missed being in the picture) seem to be from a line called Machine Robo Series.

It's actually quite fascinating to learn all this stuff about them!

I totally agree. It's definitely an interesting little history, overshadowed by the ol' TF's. But I've always enjoyed the obscure stuff.

Cliffjumper and Sixshot were among the 5 bots I bought 15 years ago on the day I became an adult collector.

My brother had Waterwalk and I had Slicks and Zero. Zero was the first transforming robot I ever owned, bought on a Saturday in December 1985. My brother bought G1 Beachcomber, the same actual figure I recently gave to his kids.

Looking at that pic, I wouldn't mind picking up that Cy-kill. I'd love some oversized kos of the others.

On my shelf today, Swoop, Perceptor and Grapple reenact a quick scene from the 86 movie.

While everyone else in the UK is on their way to TFNation I'm at work and won't be able to go this weekend due to my wife's recovery from surgery. Though I do have a deskbot to get me through today.

It's Seeker and a schemer, the Decepticonfidence trickster, the guy with massive shins, POTP Starscream.
