Dude a Voyager Shockwave that can upgrade? I don't care what it's based off of, it might be the reason the Autobots are leaving Cybertron. Whatever it is, it will be impressive. Just look at all the recent Shockwaves (they look great)...this will be the one with knee joints!

 

Sure hope so, because much like POTP Optimus and Rodimus, I have zero interest or use for a leader size Shockwave.

 

I’m picturing Shockwave as a tank not unlike his movie or Prime incarnation but where the core separates from the treads into the space gun/ship mode. The combined leader mode would use the tank parts more like limb enhancements to make him tall and lanky similar to Animated Shockwave. When not attached those parts maybe form a base for smaller robots or a platform that has restraints to hold subjects for experiments.

If the name starts with an S as many have said, then my money's on Spinister (since artwork seems to suggest that Wheeljack is still getting released in some way).

Leader Shockwave next to voyager megatron and Starscream really flies in the face of what Warden said about this line following studio series with a closer adherence to character scale so hopefully it will have a clever transformation or a vehicle or some kind of evolution gimmick that justifies the price while not making him huge.

You're ignoring the armor up pattern of the Leaders, so it will be Voyager Shockwave with armor.

Exactly this, the only line wide gimmick is guns, lots of guns.

 

I wouldn’t mind a leader Shockwave quad changer. Make him voyager sized but the ability to become Longarm Prime like in Animated. Since they’re taking ideas from all of the franchises (RID Magnus, Cybertron Hot Shot from Hound).. why not?

 

I'm fine with voyager or leader size Shockwave. As long as he's well proportioned. I actually got used to leader class Soundwave and feel he fits in fine with leader or voyager size Megatron. If you can find Cyberbatalion Shockwave, its a very good substitute despite its limitations.

 

But your previous comment assumes he won't be a Voyager upgrade situation. I'd like to also point out that even though we've only seen one other Leader for Siege, that there hasn't been a non-upgrade style leader for good while. It's still a pattern and still very likely especially in light of the scale comment.

But we will see. I'm placing bets he'll be an upgrade situation.
