I went to Toy Dojo earlier today and ordered Animus. It's a little unclear if the toy is in stock or a preorder. They took my money either way.

I contacted Eddie and asked about Animus. Appears he still has some in the unique packaging from the recent show he had them for as an exclusive- but he only has the preorder listed on his site. I asked for one of the exclusive versions and just had me pay for the preorder version and he's going to send one he has on hand. You might want to contact him through their email and inquire. Maybe be you can get one of the ones he has on hand as well...

 

I bought one on eBay, like 16 months ago, from a random guy. It's out there.

 

I have one darn near MIB (think it has a faction Ocean dry rub logo on the chest and his plugs installed), only transformed once and then I put it up when I got the official with the add on hip removal kibble kit. If you really want one, make me an offer in a PM. I'm willing to let it go cheap (plus shipping) as it's just sitting in it's box in a closet doing nothing. I can send pics along if you're serious as I'd have to fish it out for you to take some. Non pet, non smoking home for what it's worth.

Yeah, I got an email a little after my order was placed explaining the special packaging etc. and asking if I wanted that version. I said yes, and I just got the toy today.

My Animus arrived this morning. Toydojo rocks with their fast shipping! That said, despite the issues this mold has (some gaps and it's a little on the lower end plastics wise and QC wise) I think this Ironhide looks better than the official to me.

Pics with my KO Official Ironhide- even with the hip panel relocation on the Official I prefer Animus. The officials legs look awkward, his head is small and narrow, his belly/gut seems tubby, and that waist is ugly from angles. I've noticed that the official photographs better than it looks in person though- photos dont seem to show off how awkward the legs and fat gut actually look on the official to the naked eye...

 

I also just ordered Animus and Salus from Eddie at Toydojo. Salus was $69.99, Animus was $99.99. Eddie combined shipping and already shipped. Awesome.

I have the black ironhide as of two weeks ago and he is still in the box. That comparison pic, makes me believe I made the right choice. Wish there were a pair of articulated hands though....I am starting to having second thoughts about my Ratchet KO and perhaps trying to pick up a Salus.....

 

Anyone know if VooDoo Robots was connected to other third party companies? The packaging on Stealth Animus reminded me a lot of MMC's Ocular Max Perfection Series Packaging. Was anyone credited with designing that first box for VooDoo Robots?

But beyond that coincidence, I can't think of any evidence.

Because I LOVE this mold and the 2 characters that filled my MP G1 ranks.
I also hated the official MP molds...

 

Not sure if anyone is looking for one of these guys still but Toy Dojo has the red Ironhide for $66. Great price.
