All of those are completely different cyclonuses. When you say you’re gonna wait fro fanstoys that implies you were gonna go with this. They’re completely different.

 

FT MP look closer to the comic book model in color and figure. Yes... almost went with this... but he turned out baby blue with pink highlights. Plus he just doesn't really match the IDW comics after all in color or figure..

You're right, CW Cyclonus isn't quite there in figure for comic IDW, but he is at least purple vs. baby blue with pink highlights.
So close yet so far for MMC here.

They both have the sculpt but neither nail the colour of the comics. They both are accurate to the cartoon colour scheme. You can say that you think fanstoys is better(which is probably true) but you need to understand that they were made to achieve different things.

 

as contradictory as it seems an mp bot taking the spot of an idw char ,ill probably go with FT Cyclonus too

 

I think it’s cause the character is most memorable from that incarnation.

 

Giving IDW head on FT Cyclonus is useless for me.

Definitely there is a non MP scaled IDW Cyclonus spot to still be filled.

 

Just my luck, I bought one off Taobao, and the extra head is missing a horn. I don't think the horns can be switched between the heads? They seem glued shut. The store is ignoring my texts, so I've emailed MMC directly for some help.  

 

You can remove the horns. I’ve seen people, I believe paik4life removed some off that head and put it on the comic face. It’s no breeze though.

Thank u again @Spumoni Dingo & @Digger , I've managed to wriggle it out, and I feel less of a loss with the hornless other (G1-ish?) head. Also put some chrome on the blade with my own horrible paint job, and stole the gun from Stray's bonus item.

 

Looks great. I am in the market for Boreas. Just scouring around to see if there are any local sellers. Don't want to go through the taobao route as my luck with taobao purchases have been spotty lately.

I'm glad he comes with a proper face as the thin cheeked Face looks nothing like Cyclonus - that isn't MMC's fault though it's IDW peculair artistic interpretation's fault. On their Lockdown I actually like all the face options on that one.

As for missing parts - It's a bit hit a miss the 1st part I got the sent me for free the 2nd one they made me pay for the 3rd one they flat out refused. It's a shame really as I do like MMC stuff a lot but I do seem to get the rough end of all the missing or duplicated incorrectly parts on MMC too.

 

is there a fix for his dumb neck? I love this figure, but come on!

 

I managed to get the missing horn part from the seller. I got a full head replacement! Still a bit weird to have gold eyes, would have much preferred red.
I also managed to pick up an additional bonus gun from MMC Ater Beta for dual wield blasters!

 

He does look nice with two guns. Especially those. The translucent red is very catching.

 

Any one that has Maniaking as well, would be so kind as so post of pic of him and Boreas together?
