    I would not be surprised if this somehow turned into that stunt from Real Genius, where they got the VW Bug in the guy's bedroom. Instead of Bumblebee doing an ET and hiding in the mountain of stuffed dolls, he's a car in the middle of the room!

    I still wish we were getting a movie with robots interacting with robots.

    <Sigh>

    The fact that there is a SLIGHT inward bow does not change the fact that the couch is clearly supporting his weight. Which it shouldn't be able to. Because it's a couch. And he's a 15 foot tall robot that weighs as much as a car. Let's say he weighs half as much as a car. That would put him just under 1,000 pounds. Putting 1,000 pounds on a couch wouldn't "bow it inward," it would buckle it completely.

    To be fair, apparently Bee has amnesia for the majority of the film.

    You’re quite correct of course. We have to have a bit of movie magic here though don’t we? It’s no fun if the couch buckles.

    I’m out. I’m way out. All the opinions on this movie are it’s cute and adorable. Heartfelt and emotional. It’s frickin TRANSFORMERS!!! And it’s cute?!?!?! No thanks. I like my Bumblebee killing Decepticons as a Camaro. Not cowering at the sight of an 18 year old girl. Memory loss or not.

    Well back in the day, some couches were actually made pretty sturdy. Especially ones from the 70s and 80s. So some bowing could actually be plausible. But that's also assuming he's not got his weight fully on it too. He could be shifting his weight to to his legs, and lightly sitting too. So it's more like squatting than actually sitting by where he's putting the weight to support it. Which would cause minor bowing that we're seeing here too.

    It's also likely part of the gag. He hasn't gotten up yet, so we haven't seen how destroyed the couch ends up after too.

    Makes more sense than Powerglide riding a merry-go-round.

    I don’t want to give out spoilers but from what I’ve heard he’s not cowering because he’s scared of her.

    But between this and the triple changer question marks, I'm starting to wonder just how much realism we're throwing out the window.

    Part of what made TF1 so great is that it stayed as "grounded" as it could.

    Perhaps he sits down; the couch bends, creaks, and buckles; then it breaks and he falls on his butt. :lolol

    The way I see it, the Cybertronians can control their weight at will. Especially in the movieverse. The biggest example is the way the Allspark cube behaved. It was huge and cannot be lifted, but Sam was able to carry it more easily than a briefcase. That ability must have been passed on to the "children" of the Allspark. Hence they can control their weight and size. Mass shifting? Yep, but I'm OK with it.

    Anyway, two thumbs up for that image. He does look like a scared boyfriend waiting to meet his girlfriend's parents. :D

    Yet I'm sure Frenzy's head would weight A LOT more than a cellphone it mass-shifted into.
