The current leaders basically are the older ultra class size, so that's consistent. It's a leader class.

 

So who wants to bet that this becomes the new ROTF Leader when the movie series reboots?

 

You should, the Evasion mold is one of the best movieverse molds ever made period.

 

I highly doubt it'll scale with the pre-AOE leaders. This one seems to be a special one-off figure, Takara hasn't listed it as part of the Studio Series line and it has the same MSRP as the Studio Series/TLK leaders(6800yen). Meanwhile the ROTF leader reissue in the Movie The Best line was 15000yen. I don't think this one will really scale with anyone(aside from maybe the AOE/TLK leaders), it might just be meant to be a special G1 inspired movie leader Prime.

 

I believe he's saying the WeiJiang one is inferior.

Actually, current Leader Class is still bigger than old Ultra Class. I have a bunch of Ultra Class figures from when I was a kid, and they are smaller than current Leader figures.

 

I wonder if WJ or someone else will KO this and actually put some paint on it  


Someone really needs to inform HasTak about the wonders of paint and how it can make an ok figure look fantastic.

I think it's purposefully underpainted so as to look G1 Like - the one in the actual Movie may differ a bit - have some of the usal detail back - but I don't actually mind if he's missing the flames and has blue feet in the Movie (if he is in the Movie at all).

The other Optmus toys might give some idea of what his Movie deco is supposed to be though.

 

No. The truck didn't just *lose* a smokestack. It was never there to begin with.

In addition, this is not how Prime looks in the Bee movie according to Silver Optimus. This is just an upscale capitalizing on WJ Commander's success.

I'd love to get this, but that unpainted grey bottom feet is an eye sore in vehicle mode, has given me pause.

 

For me this isn't a case of how good this version of the toy is vs a 3rd party etc. For me the reason I want this toy is I've been looking for a Toy to use my MP-10's trailer for years on the display while the cab is bot mode with my other MP's.

This is it for me, it's G1 enough to match up nicely with the trailer. I might buy 2 and hope there is some shapeways mod later that allows it to also use MP Prime V3's trailer.
