Yeah, if you've gone this long without a MP-1, there's little reason to bother with it anymore. He's on the Island of Misfits for me, with the original Sideswipe, original Red Alert (both replaced by their + versions), and Targetmaster Hot Rod (MP-28 is still my "regular" Hot Rod). They'll be getting plenty more company soon, since I expect the original Prowl, Shockwave, and Wheeljack will be getting replaced by their + versions (don't see how the + versions won't become my preferred version for any of them), and MP-10 will go there due to Optimus V3. The Misfits are piling up!

Original Shockwave is a pretty easy transformation as far as MPs go, but, I think if he is fairly well painted, then chipping could become a concern with MP-29+.

 

Have to say I’m tempted by MP-29+, despite of its the sky high pricing, because it seems limited ed.

But the prevalent KOs means my regular MP-29 would be difficult to sell for a decent price. And I know it could happen again even for 29+.

I know there are a lot of people who defend KOs like it’s freedom of speech etc. Not gonna go into that right now. But MAN do KOs suck when you’re trying to re-sell...

 

I've held off getting MP36 Megatron... but am sorely sorely tempted by the '+' deco.

But looking at them both, again... its hard to choose. I'd love to get one, and am more of a 'toy' over 'toon' guy.

Mp36 does just seem a little.. bland? I like details, and fully admit that Inferno is my least fave out of all the Mps released, whilst Artfire is in my top 5.

Thinking im talking myself into a purchase/preorder maybe!

I like the toon Megs, but just couldn't go for it.. but wow does the toy deco version blow it out the water - regular MP36 just seems like a pale washed out version of 36+!.. gonna head to Kapow myself now, and squirrell away some quids here and there for this one!

Personally, the vanilla version is everything I’ve ever dream when it comes to Megatron.

But that + version is so amazing, no way in hell in passing.

I hope the box resembles the toy a little bit much like recent MP’s.

Argh.. just pre-ordered! Ideally i'd have had a megatron somewhere 8n between the two versions, but, if theyre continuing with a plus sub line for toy version decos... tha6s where im at!

 

Why did I have to own the g1 toy? This thing looks sweet, and I have quite a bit of nostalgia for the original...broken and battered as the one I had for most of my childhood was.

 

The shockwave head is pretty much the same... i think that the 29+ will be full painted, but is not really an "anime color", the details are the same too.

 

Tricky, Megatron toy version is pass for me, but that Shockwave, still looks different on every photos. I need to wait, right now I am happy with mine.

I am happy with my Hasbro Soundwave and still thinking about replacement in TT version with red eyes.

 

Megatron is one of those rare instances where the toon version is the definitive version for me... although i certainly wouldn't say no to a Marvel comic book deco... but I cant see that happening.

 

I didn’t think I wanted a + of Shockwave, but all of the sudden, this is singing to me. The first is just so light. This doesn’t *quite* hit the toon color but it is closer. Where can I get a good deal at this point?

 

Wow is the Shockwave redeco really fifty dollars more than the original with no extra accessories?? What is going on with MP prices?

Actually it does come with an extra hand.

The increase in price is due to it being a limited run exclusive that has a remolded head.
