So, what US retailer actually carried/ carries this figure?

 

Toys R Us. Due to the state of Toys R Us US, it’s only available in Canada and wherever else that Toys R Us is still intact.

 

I thought amazon listed this at some point? I find it hard to believe that all the stock produced for the U.S. just dissapeared or is sitting in a warehouse somewhere

 

Oh yeah, you’re right. The supplied version is by Takara though so I guess the Hasbro versions are either being sent to other countries or something, i’m not entirely sure

 

So i got this guy recently and unfortunately his left arm has a couple of tolerance issues, firstly the ratchet shoulder is very tight, on its own not an issue but this means i end up moving the transformation joint on the inside of the shoulder rather than the shoulder itself. Secondly, the left elbow is very loose, like flops when i move the figure loose. Any advice on how to fix these issues? If these were ball joints it's be easier but the formers a ratchet and the latter a pin, not sure what remedies work for those.

 

I slathered the elbow in nail polish and it's a lot better now. Shame about the shoulder, i know it's a relatively minor thing but that sort of thing really bugs me.

 

Get an original Barricade from elsewhere (unless you're short on money then get KO) and enjoy this half-free beautiful expensive Chogokin figure. Or sell it as it'll easily return you what you've paid for MPM-05... And then some.

Barricade isn't hard to find as of yet and Takara version is same with Hasbro so no big deal which one you'll end with.

 

Mine has come and oh my god!!.

He's the best decepticon i've got in years. It's so fun to handle, TT sunstreaker disappointed me because at the major pose he had like two or 3 paint chips on each leg, yet this guy it's still solid and has nothing of issues. I hope ironhide comes soon.

 

Delayed post (almost a cross post from the MP appreciation thread) but absolutely love it. Finally been able to get a perfect Barricade to go along with a perfect Prowl. After years of mismatching the 07, Classics, Alternator, and Human Alliance pieces (all of which looked terrible when paired and have long since been sold), the MPM line finally delivers.


Hopefully the upcoming MPM Starscream looks equally great across from MP-11.

Are you replacing the KO in favor of it?

 

Right now I'm just out of room.

We were talking about Barricade, not Ironhide.

 

Wow,scale wise for MP Barricade is bigger than normal MP G1 Prowl.

 

They aren't quite the same size but it is close enough for me. The MPM cars are larger than the MP cars. It becomes especially obvious in alt mode but I never intend to display the two that way. To my understanding Bee is the same size as Barry. Judging by the comparison shots with Prime and Ironhide, Bee is slightly oversized in general.
