It's amazing how DX9/UT can make a figure look so solid and cohesive while still being quite accurate in both modes. (Did not say perfect)

Oh. My bad. I thought you were talking about DX9 LaHire

Okay, now that I see this pic, I'm definitely sold. DX9 LaHire is the one for me!

The passenger side door is intersecting the windshield too. Blech.

Yah know my one problem with DX9 (aside from SCALE)? Their detailing on their movie figures is too shallow. It’s the same way on their prime and lockdown, it just doesn’t have any depth to it. Until they correct that problem, the official MPMs will always be just that little step above IMO.

That being said, I’m still getting this guy if he’s the same height as bee.

Well, the competition doesn't have access to direct ILM files I imagine ;)

Yup definitely sold on this version. Not sure who else is planning on doing this figure but TFevo's version didnt seem to pan out so well from what I've seen posted.

    What?!? Partsforming?! Worse Transformer ever!!!!

That is incredibly lazy CGI and figured it was fine as long as it looked like it was transforming lol

Hmmm.. I still need to see a review of both LaHire and V2 TFEVO. I'm hoping Ben's collectibles gets one and does a comparison, or maybe EMGO or Optibotimus.. I generally don't buy 3rd party stuff until I see it reviewed first. LT02 is a masterpiece! I bought that after watching the reviews, and I am very pleased. (even with having to wait for a replacement part, painting the side mirrors, and super gluing the smokestack joints to be more stiff, for those who are familiar with this method it does take finesse and patience) I hope this LaHire comes out perfect. I really want a good Hot Rod from AOE. He's a break out character, and I am saddened that there may never be a final closing to the AOE Transformers storyline.

What's this about a TFEVO v2? Is there a thread?

I'd assume it's the same thread as version 1?

It should be the same thread. I think V2 was talked about a bit ago, there's supposed to be fixes to some things??
Either way, I think that the DX9 LaHire is definitely better, given the black model we saw recently. I mean, I like Hotfire, and it does have great sculpting, it's just now knowing it's QC issues and all, plus the head sculpt issues, I think the DX9 has a better handle on tolerances, given their experience, and the sculpt and engineering seem to look pretty tight. Like I said tho, if the normal reviewers get their hands on the V2 that is supposed to be coming (rumor right now, because I don't have solid proof, just chatter from other fans I know) and the DX9, that will make my decision for me. Here's hoping for some new youtube vids coming soon.
