Presumably standard. I didn't do anything to it.

Looks fine to my naked eye though. I think it's just a side effect of being blown up to 5-10x his actual size. Honestly my biggest gripe about him (besides no rocket hand) is that he looks small in hand, more like a really tall deluxe than an MP. I think he's easily the best proportioned of the three versions out there.

I don't like how small/skinny he appears, that his windshield is obviously fake, or that he's a bit under detailed (like all the recent animation slavish ones).

The sculpt also appears "soft" no sharp edges.

Finally shipped my POL from BBTS...picked up SO during their Black Friday sale for just that purpose...and I assume waiting for Omni to release the police version is off the table...ha.!!!

Would like to pick up one more for the red version but BBTS wants $54 for him now...so I think I'll wait.

Is the ball too small for the socket? If so, have tried the hot glue fix?

Spinout's socket is too small for Sunstreaker's ball. If I decide to ultimately make this permanent, I'll either dremmel and file out Spinout's head until it more or less works, or I'll cut off both necks and epoxy Spinout's neck to Sunstreaker's neck. This would be the simpler, easier option- but once I do that I really can't go back to stock Sunstreaker which is why I'm hesitating and so far just have it taped in place.

Putting Sunstreaker's head on Spinout's body would be much easier to fiddle with until it works. :(

I don't know if I'd cut and epoxy. You'll end up with the bond breaking and a ball stuck in the socket. I'd over dremel the socket and then do the hot glue fill-in trick. If you end up wanting to swap back you can just do the hot glue trick back to the old balljoint.

Nice to see someone still is trying to make this figure work. Most people's response to how to fix Spinout is to toss him off the top of a tall building.

Good luck. I took the same chance and knew a refund was in order just a few minutes after opening the box.

If they threw in a Kronos too, I might pay $35.

so mine arrived and.... he's not great is he?
But he's not that bad :)

wheels popped off and during transformation he just kinda fell in half in my hands but it was nothing too bad, basically one screw at the back wasn't screwed in.
So after minor reassembly and transformation he stands fine, pops apart if I move him too much and unless I'm missing something, no neck articulation which is just plain weird.

all in all an OK release I would have been pissed paying full price for. At $35 I'm happy to own the most hated figure since Kronos. At lease when this one falls apart you can put him back together again! Honestly not that bad a figure and you can see where this could have been pushed over to a great figure if the designer had had the support

I have a Kronos even though I have Ft's version now as well. He's a great Skyfire....you just don't want to....transform him...or move his ankles. But he looks mighty fine if you want a "Stand there and look heroic" Skyfire. Just don't touch him too much. :D

(I actually seem to have gotten a good one but then again, I've never transformed him. Someday I'll say what the hell and go for it). I was going to sell him once but now he's so infamous, he's staying in my collection permanently. It's like owning an Edsel or something like that. It's so bad it's good to own one.

I passed on both. It's an unpopular opinion but Phoenix is just too damn big for me. I bought a Macross Jet and paid someone to paint if for me :D  What can I say? I'm a toy guy!

The original Valkyrie jet/ mech is a classic design, even if you're not a Jetfire person.
