The head and it being a headmaster is what kept me from buying this guy

 

It shouldn't. 1.) The face can and will be replaced. 2.) It doesn't have to be a Headmaster. The 'Master can stay plugged in the head for transformation. (Much like Overlord and Sixshot, you don't need to remove the head.)

Honestly, it's probably the best Jetfire figure to date when you figure the cost/value ratio. Yes, FT has their MP version, but it fits a certain sector and it's expensive. This is aimed at the mass market, fits in nicely with CHUG and is about $110.00.

It's one that shouldn't be passed up.

 

well I am a chug guy and not a MP guy and the fact that he can transform without taking the head off, does intrigue me now, I didnt know that. So you dont have to remove the helmet either? the whole thing can stay on during tranformation ?

Nope, no removal necessary. It just slides down into the chest cavity. You can transform the helmet into a weapon once the head robot is removed, if you wish, but it's optional and not necessary.

As for the new face, there are images all over the thread. It's stated that X2 will make it available later this year and they have functional prototypes they're working off of.

I think it needs to be restated how HEAVY this toy is. He’s not ALL metal but when you pick him up he sure feels like it. Despite the weight the joints are incredibly robust and the figure is solid as a brick. He doesn’t wobble or lean from the weight at all, which is something you can rarely even say about Soul of Chogokin figures. X2 really got the perfect weight/balance formula here.

It’s definitely my pick for most criminally overlooked toy.

 

He's easily my favorite Leader Class TF! So glad this was the size class X2Toys went with

Some goofy armor they seem to be packaging the new face/head with. I'm guessing people who want the new face will have to buy it to get it.

 

I hope the goofy armor is colored red so I can pretend it's the booster backpack.

Love the armor and the new head. This is the first I’ve noticed the new head has a completely redesigned body as well. Looking forward to buying it all.

The train looks silly, but I like that it has a bit of a Brave Series aesthetic.
