I think I’m waiting on an Iron Factory Nemesis, or maybe a Magic Square Nucleon PMOP.

And, IF’s Toxitron and Nova Prime are also looking better and better.

Then again, I’m not counting DX9 out, since there’s a crayola golden oldie that’s my next purchase, anyhoo... ^.^

Personally, I would wait. It's a nice looking figure but its issues are just damning. I'm usually a big fan of DX9's but this is just unacceptable from them.

I sanded the leg panel tabs to fit smoothly, but this is something that not everyone is going to have the tools, know-how or patience to do without scuffing up their figure's legs. I tried sanding the torso tabs to get a better fit, but ultimately I just cut them off completely. Then, once he's finally together, I see that my attempts to get the torso to tab into his hips resulted in a break in the hinge that his torso pivots on:

I try and pre-order the figures I want to show these companies support and interest in what they do before they can be KOd, but the state of this release has killed my desire to pre-order any other DX9 figures.

I hear you. I picked up a set of all 6 of Pocket Square's KO DX9 WIP Seekers for $49 shipped and the quality is great.

It'd be rad if they oversized Sonic Wizard. I love the figure but wish he were a little bigger.

    Just messin' with ya, NOCV!

I've no doubt you'll get some pics up and that when you do, they'll be glorious -- although perhaps less so than the figs themselves!

man that sucks to hear about all the issues you had. i am glad i stayed away from this prime. i really wanted it too, but the size was one sticking point i had and the qc issues are definitely the other reasons i stayed away.

come one mft or magic square.

Mate I hear ya, those legs were a total stress fest the first couple of times. I watched a review just to find out exactly where the tab was (behind the fuel tank) and then used an old dental tool to pry it open.
Now it's loosened slightly, it's very easy to do.

Anyone know what those spare parts in the bag are for? I took a look at them and the insides where the thigh balljoints go are filled with mold flash.

These. I'm poking the mold flash with the file but it's hard to see in the pictures.

Edit: I started cleaning the parts and compare the 2. The new parts are a lot smaller and a better fit.

New hip joints it seems. Early releases of Dutch and Plissken had problems with the legs popping off easily.

Curious to know if they work. Give 'em a try kmopotato!

Also, where did you order your Plissken from, @kmopotato?
