Agreed. I know it may sound petty, but that was one of the things that really killed Rioter Despotron for me (especially coming after Striker Manus's superb articulation).

Anywho, looks like he'll be around Rioter's height. For some reason I was under the impression he'd be taller like Jetfire. Looks like he has a lot more mass than Rioter, though.

 

No absolutely, Rioter 's articulation is limited compared to Striker and it does ultimately hurt the figure when held up to that standard (which I do!). I did try to fix Rioter up a bit by cutting away some of the plastic around Rioter's foot, but I couldn't do enough - without cutting away too much - to really make a difference.

Well he did not skip leg day....I am glad he is close in height to the Rioter D and Striker M, but he looks roided out comparatively. I kinda wish they had stuck to the more lithe designs like the first 2 releases, but I can't resist a big hulking bringer of devastation. He will probably look good facing off Thunder Manus though.

Well, there we go. Size comparisons. Looks like Galvy is right between Rioter and Jetfire in terms of height.

 

As a Cross Dimensions n00b, do you know where the height translates to in Hastak scale? 1cm above voyager?

 

Around there, I'd say. Maybe 2cm. At work right now, so I can't say for certain, but I believe Striker Manus is about a head tall than Gen. Springer if that helps.
Either way, they're very much sized for CHUG collections and fit in quite nicely there.

 

Good lord this looks nice. I have the old Unique Toys Mania King, and I love it. It's a solid figure, and a good Galvatron. Love the transformation. But THIS. This is the Galvatron I've been waiting for my whole life, and I didn't even know it. My favorite Decepticon, looking like the King of All Badasses. *slow clap*

My problem with Mania King was that is scaled with Classics Prime, which was a small Voyager. It would otherwise be a near perfect representation of G1 Galvatron (aside from the curl/gorilla arms).

Sounds more like the Cross Dimension line has its own size going on.
For a commander I guess that can be overlooked, but I wonder why third parties can't just follow official sizes.

 

They have They are Voyager Size.

 

I would say Striker is the old Ultra size.

 

So between the heights of MTCD-01 and MTCD-05.

It also looks like that every odd numbered release will have repaints: MTCD-01, MTCD-03, MTCD-05, MTCD-07 Hot Rod.

MTCD-01 and 02 were released in 2016 2nd half
MTCD-01SP and MTCD-03SP in 2017
MTCD-03 and MTCD-04 in 2018
So MTCD-05/SP and 06 in 2019?

Kind of slow with one to two moulds a year but this is to be expected.
