This is extremely refreshing. The alt mode is pleasant and classic, the bot mode is fairly accurate to the movie design, even a bit tougher looking. The colors, even with minor paint as it seems, are bright and well placed and varied enough to please the eye, it very clearly has at least the most basic of all articulations and looks like it can hold a pose with its chunky feet, and by god, those gimmicks are character-specific, non-intrusive, don't harm the posability, and dare I say it, look FUN!!

The price tag will likely turn myself and others off until it's on sale, but if this thing is a decent size, I can imagine that it will be a wildly successful toy, and hopefully a turning point for the better for not only the movie line, but the kid-centric Transformers toys as a whole.

I can't believe I'm typing this, but I want this Bumblebee toy. Yikes.

(Here's to a Barricade in the same class with sirens and police lights!!)

One thing I like about this design is the boots, Transformers always had chunky feet and Michael Bay just really made everyone's feet horrendous, well he hit everything with the ugly stick I guess. A real maniac.

Judging from the little slide-out knife thingie, I\'s say that this is a voyager-sized figure. I don\'t usually see gimmicks like that on the small arms of deluxe-sized figures.

    Feet are already horrendous, though.

    Realism. Feet are gross.

This actually looks really really good for just being a gimmick figure. Here's hoping the studio series figures look even better

I'm digging the vehicle mode the most. I really can't wait for this toyline.

I get what Michael Bay was going for, with more alien feet. I much prefer the solid boot look though (and even the feet from the AOE/TLK era).

Will I be in trouble if I say I like this better than MP Bumblebee?

This doesn't look that bad. It might be worth picking up just to mess around with or if the SS version is hard to find. I can't wait to see the rest of the Bumblebee toys at SDCC!

I'm surprised, a gimmick toy with articulation. Not my thing, but still, well done!

I like it. I'll probably hold out for the SS, but this looks really cool. I'm leaning toward Voyager too.

Kinda worried now. Just realised that I like the design so much I'm probably guaranteed to be at least somewhat disappointed.

I get that this is a gimmick toy and there will be more accurate versions. Just having my doubts that Hasbro know how to do cute anymore. They've been doing ugly for so long now.

Do they have a hope of capturing the tidy rounded forms of the new Bumblebee?

I'll reserve judgement for the time being.

Not super rounded, but I'd say his right arm is pretty close all things considered. This isn't perfection, and the gimmick doesn't help that by any means, but it's a step in the right direction I'd say. Unfortunately the source material never translates perfectly into toy form so certain aesthetic properties have to be sacrificed for functionality purposes such as clearance. I can see this line going well or poorly, but this reveal has given me hope personally.
