Old news and already discussed in the FTF thread, but he was supposed to join the game this week. Instead, he’s been delayed until next Thursday (July 12th).

He looks great, better than his POTP design. Wonder why they didn't use that one.

 

Wouldn't it be nice if you could collect all of the Predacons and form Predaking in battle? Either way, I am sitting on so many shards from this month trying to get that GOLD bot.

 

He’s been sitting around since last year (July or August) before the PotP line.
It seems to be loosely based on the Feral Rex Tantrum, which would explain why that name was in the game to begin with.

 

Ohhh I had no idea. I haven't really followed the game's thread here. Would you mind telling me who else is coming in the future that you know about?

 

Megatronus (PotP), Scorponok (BW), Wheeljack, and Lockdown.

I had a theory they’d finally release Megatronus this month as the featured since PotP’s final episode just dropped, but I was wrong. He was originally ready to go in May when PotP started, but got pulled and replaced with Cheetor instead.

 

What?!?! Megatronus from the machinima show? Holy unexpected Batman!

Anyway I always love BW characters in the game so I'm excited for Scorponok. I would love if their inclusion in the game is any indication of future Hasbro plans.

A lot of the choices for the Beast era stuff seems to be based on what the staff likes. Don’t imagine it’s much different for the rest of the generations. I’m sure they take some requests into consideration, as a ton of people went crazy requesting Jazz on their forum.

One would assume Megatronus was developed to coincide with the release of the show (like they did with Hot Rod and Drift as promo for TLK), but for some reason it didn’t happen.

 

Interesting, he looks absolutely nothing like POTP figure.

Odd that the game uses the name Tantrum, but the toy doesn’t...

 

Now that’s a badass design! If only the toy was like that.

I see why Hasbro wouldn't do it, but I'd love to see a third-party make that toy, he wouldn't even need to combine.
