There's no good way to make "Getaway" into a Prime name. It will always be garbage.

Coller usually knocks it out of the park but damn, those punches look weak. You're not supposed to be giving him a roguish cuff on the cheek, Skorpy.

You know, I can put up with a lot of things in this comic. I've enjoyed it pretty much the whole way through. The one thing that really annoys me though is the insistence on having the characters talk with British accents. Ratchet with "getting your arses kicked" Brainstorm with the "Knee-cro Titan," here Rodimus with "rubbish," and so on. A tiny thing, I know, but it's never felt right to me. Always felt forced.

But please, tell me how Getaway is just misunderstood, Getaway-apologists who got mad at me a year ago for calling him a monster.

Getaway makes my list of villains you love to hate, right along side Handsome Jack from Bordlerands 2. Please dont die Cyclonus.

please don\'t redeem Getaway at the end of all this, he\'s done way too much to be redeemed in a deus ex machina.

I think it's pretty clear that the direction taken with Getaway in the last while has made him waaaaay more into a mustache-twirling villian than the ambiguousness left by the initial mutiny.

I do think Rodimus using "rubbish" is definitely an indication this book did not go through much of an editing process. Par for the course in most comics, but still a bit disappointing - it actually threw me out of the dialogue for a sec (I'm aware that might not be everyone's reaction). Even something like "Getaway Prime is a terrible name" would have worked for me.

Not necessarily a lack of editing, more likely the continued trend of these characters having faint British idioms in their speech patterns. Repeated uses of words like mate, arse, and other telltale turns of phrase that point toward UK slang usage.

I would argue that an editor would've asked for the slang spoken by a Transformer to be less region-specific (i.e. not overly North American, not overly European...neutral language). But that same trend has been present since Roberts has been writing, hence what I mean by there not being tooooons of editing.

This. English Vernacular in transformers comics goes back a LOOOOOOOONG way, Man of Iron was reprinted in the original US run. June 87, for those of us that ARE British, 1985.

I've read Man of Iron. Are there instances in that story where the Transformers are speaking using British slang vs. neutral language that I haven't seen?

Normally I'd be extra hype about getting 3 TF books in one week but all I'm all that exited for is this one.

    Even Unicron looks disappointing...

Neutral language is a loaded term here.
