What do you guys think about mech fans toys figures like galvatron and Springer being a mini masterpiece series in a way? Kinda for those that want scale but don't have the money for actual masterpieces.
Vangelus keeps on about primemasters getting fiction so here: the pretenders got upgraded to normal transformers, left their shells behind, which the disembodied sparks of the 13 primes stole as disguises. They are like infinity gems were they give powers but you cant hold them, so you need special devices to use them. Thats my interpretations anyway
I'm sure you've seen the DNA upgrade kit for Optimal, everyone who knows Toyhax points out figures that could use a set, and who doesn't know about Perfect Effect's rainbow of hands and feet? But! Has there ever been an obvious (to you) easy lay up for third parties that never happened?
Thanks for answering my question! You really pointed me towards a new perspective on that topic. I'd initially thought that toys like that were just redundant, but somehow I never considered that the thought process was "I think I can do better" (though I'm not generally a fan of unofficial Transformer toys, I can definitely see the appeal)
