Oooh. Prime has his PowerMaster/TitanMaster shoulder cannons. Nice. Interesting too how, in this short snippet, Unicron is Primus' opposite, and Primus became Cybertron itself. I don't recall any of this being in the IDW continuity before now. Not that I'm surprised, considering variants on this theme have been around since Furman introduced it in his Marvel run.
Well, in the legend that Optimus knows, anyway. There have been hints that there's going to be more to Unicron's origins here...
True. And the Chaos Bringer was hinted at all the way back when Prime was bouncing through time and LV-117 went kaput.
I think we already have. It's been implied via various covers that it's Shockwave's/Onyx Prime's army.
I'd be lying if I said this preview didn't get me super pumped for The End. I loves me an epic last stand!
I don't know if this is intentional, but I rather like the meta subtext of Unicron's army consisting of, essentially, Beast Wars characters, just as the Generation 1 tradition was subsumed by Beast Wars; a massive upheaval of the franchise, albeit one necessary for its survival.
The miniseries is jumping right into it. This is going to a fast ending, I only hope that is has slow moments for the characters in between the battles. Unless that’s what Optimus Prime’s final issues are for...
\"Without reason, without provocation\" Does that quote sound familiar to anyone else ? I feel like I\'ve heard Optimus say it before or something similar in another continuity
Although the way Roberts has written it, the Guiding Hand is just one of many creation stories and ancient legends (Like Sockie mentioned above). Seems like this is another one, just one we haven't heard until now.
