OMGS DD and I have been after the Constructicons!! Ooh and Bumblebee and Starscream too? Well, looks like my lone G1 won't be so lonely anymore. Please don't screw up distribution Walmart.

I have no interest in this but nonetheless LOVE IT. I have no qualms with HasTak putting out G1 reissues every 10 years. “It’s a party ya’ll!”

Yeah, the $20,000 question is if Hasbro has any interest in reissuing figures that haven't already made the Commemorative/Encore/TFC rounds.

This new line wins points for being the first to offer English (mostly) G1-accurate packaging, but it's appeal is going to be hampered if they can't get the more popular characters out there.

I was referring to a release/sighting at US Walmart stores, as I assumed madhatprime was.

My bad, should have clarified just in case.

The international nature of this community really leads to some stupid misunderstandings. To some Americans, a toy does not qualify as "released" until it has been found at US retail; conversely, any toy somebody has in hand is automatically assumed to have been purchased at retail in the United States.

Meanwhile, most non-US residents couldn't care less whether a figure is available at US retail just as long as they are able to get it one way or another.

Hopefully Walmart does the right thing and make them available to ship or pick up.

Might have been mentioned but I didnt read through this entire thread yet:

But wasn't the Encore Devy that came out years back plagued with horrible QC and was widely touted as a "terrible toy?"

Hope this isnt from the same batch of stuff.

I wonder if these are to tide us over until whenever WFC starts. I'm totally okay with that, as long as distribution is good & everyone gets a fair chance at getting one (ha ha ha)

don't forget the vocal minority who think half the states don't count as US sightings because those are the states where most new product's found first...

I agree 100%. Since they've done reissues already, they need to produce figures now that the previous line didn't. I mean how many times can a person buy the same figure over and over. Give me things like chopshop and barrage, or Springer or Whirl or Blur or Kup.

I wouldn't mind getting an official G1 Devastator. I only ever had bootleg ones that came in Easter Basket packs.

So is it ok for “some Americans” to make assumptions about “some” Germans? Cuz I’ve got a few....There’s a difference in just being some moron on the Internet flaming someone because of this, that, or the other like we see a lot of on here, or just genuinely being a condescending asshole most of the time.

Anytime Devy gets a reissue I end up with one so on past performance........Hasbro are likely to sell me another Devastator.

Whether I'll be able to buy it in the UK will be an entirely different issue.

I don't want to open Pandora's Box for G1 figures in my collection, but if that Megatron gun that comes with Starscream is 5mm I may have to reconsider.

At what point did I make assumptions that warrant such hostility? Because what I described might not be "standard" behavior across the board, but it is recurring behavior, not least evidenced by a particular subset...

    Exactly that.

And besides, I originally was just responding to an honest question regarding Hot Rod's release status. Because similar inquiries have been specifically asked with his official US Walmart exclusive venue in mind, I gave a short and concise answer, which in return prompted a "correction" of sorts from a non-US resident. Somehow in trying to untangle that particular confusion, I somehow ended up as the bad guy...?

I didn't get a lot of the encore/commemorative, so this is great news to me.
