To be honest, I didn't care about the "comic" characters. I don't even know if I want to keep Mordo. But I guess I'll wait and see if there's another Dr Strange movie. I'm not even sure if I can sell the comic ones to be honest. But I don't want to just throw them away as they're not junk toys or anything.
The Raft box set and Collector's Vault popped up in my nearest TRU... Blue Tagged Price. Meaning it's on markdown. 6 figures for a price of Leader & Voyager Class figure for The Raft 5 mini figures for a price of Studio Series Voyager for The Collector Vault
Do you mean the MCU figures? Either way, it was a lame wave with three Stranges and Mordo and Voodoo that most likely very few people care about. Maybe Mordo will play a significant role that people will love later but I somehow doubt it. Nice find!
That's insane... especially considering those were both SDCC exclusive right? How the heck does that happen?
Yeah, the only figure I cared about in that wave was Iron Fist. I wanted Movie Strange too, but I couldn't find a good copy of it til the wave clearanced. I don't even know what to do with the Astral Strange figure. I know a lot of people didn't care about that one either
Yeah, mostly a junk wave. But since I found MCU SHF Strange for about $30, I’m going to display it with the astral ML behind it and the ML version as an illusion duplicate.
There is a review up for hulk and hulkbuster it’s in Spanish though so I guess retail isn’t to far away hopefully we will see it in Canada
I would rather see a figure come multiple heads/hands and accessories rather than BAF parts. Basically like the 2016 Deadpool(which had a good amount of stuff) but also dedicated, swappable hands for the weapons. Or maybe and/or dio display stands/bases that can connect. That way you don't necessarily need to build an entire build-dio-scene just to get a stand.
I agree. I think they could just sell those BAF figures at a higher price point and give more accessories. Its one of the reasons I'm into figuarts, storm collectibles etc.
Just opened my SP//dr case and they all look good with crisp paint apps...except Doc Ock. Who has sloppy paint on the teeth, glasses and splotches elsewhere plus parts all around his midsection are not removed from the mold cleanly. Figures . Oh well, at least I have two with one of them less bad.
Yeah. Makes me want to cancel my preorder so, I can look at them in the store. Most of the vintage wave is on sale at Amazon. Got Cap and Punisher for $22 w/tax. Marvel Retro 6-inch Collection Captain America Figure https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XPZ78D5/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_5ydmBbJ7JXG9B
If it makes you feel any better, it's not that bad, especially for ML collectors who are used to ML quality, or lack of. Still a great looking Doc Ock figure overall. Look forward to finding some space and opening it!
the latest ML waves are dreaded with QC posted in a Marvel Legends-dedicated FB Page. - Obvious Separation Cut parts of Sabretooth's upper and lower jaw - Splotches and not aligned paint apps on Multiple Man's headsculpts - Magneto's effect part's excess plastic part from the sprue - Silver Surfer's melted side of chest (below armpit) - Wolverine got paint splotches - Superior Spider-Man's eye splotches @Shin Densetsu Well you have a point. I read somewhere that there's an argument that Hasbro should quit BAF scheme to: - Make figures cheaper. - Or replace those BAF parts with added dedicated accessories. - Someone also said about the Build A Diorama. But I doubt it if Hasbro is willing to let go of the BAF scheme. From their business point of view, "If the scheme sells, it shouldn't need to be fixed". I was surprised too. Even hobby shops have their own abundant stocks of The Raft and Collectors Vault. I guess those sets didn't sell much and it's TWO YEARS since it was released. If I have the excess money, I'll get it for the "SDCC" value it has. Too bad that the box don't have SDCC logo for bragging rights. I observed the Vault set and I think most figures will work on 6-inch scale figures except for Cosmo, Moon Boy and 3.75" The Collector. As for Howard The Duck he's undersized. Lockjaw will be reason for completists of Inhumans (if they go for normal pet dog size) Yeah Lockjaw could be undersized as well. I know some peeps prefers a huge Lockjaw figure. As for The Raft, It's great. Probably the reason why isn't a seller or probably got overstock and went ON SALE maybe the villain figures didn't stir much interest. You know this boxset may sell better if the villains came from Sinister Six. I don't like the Eye-design used in the Spider-Man figure included in the set. And second thought, since it's 6 figure set, Hasbro could've pull off a Sinister Six Box Set. Right?
