Both the deluxe and SS Ironhide look good in that pic. I'll just buy some flat black paint and wait for the MPM though.

Picked up my Studio Series wave two figures from the post office earlier this week and I've been fiddling with them ever since! It's a really good wave all round, with some nice surprises. I've actually found myself liking some of the figures more than I expected to, which is always a bonus!

More thoughts on the individual figures to come over the next few days!

So, I got an AD-12 Revenge Optimus from eBay (which I'm fairly certain is a KO, despite the listing not saying it) and I like the way he looks next to SS Megatron much better than the SS Optimus.

There's some a couple posts above yours.

Saw another board member place the TLK voyager Prime on Grimlock and realized I had to do this.

Funny, I've generally been unimpressed with leader Grimlock. I like my custom painted AOE one better. But this both completely solves most of this Grimlock's gap/proportion issues and this Prime fits perfectly on here (because of the issues ironicly). This 2 may stay together like this forever. They were just meant to be.

For those curious, this is my heavily modded and painted Takara ?1 step changer? from AOE (basically i cut the truck hanging off his back off and had an action master, but also the only voyager sized AOE prime available at the time).

So torn on which belongs on display. Midget (SS) Prime's head sculpt is definitely better, but if i go with him, that pretty much makes SS incompatible with the AOE and TLK lines, where as the old voyager works with everything leaving SS midget BB the biggest issue.

Thought these guys were finally finished (actually I though the HFTD version was done a while ago, but working on SS inspired me to add additional flames after I finally got a red paint I could use on him.

Just realized he needs a little gold gold detailing in a few places also.

Which do you guys like better?

Gotta say, they’re both great but SS Optimus is so much better in his proportions that it trumps his height for me.

Just got these guys in. Unfortunately, they're juuuust a bit too small to fit in with the new scale line, so they won't join my main collection.

It's a shame because I love the buggy design, but Landmine/Armorhide is too big, and this guy is just a bit too small. (I think this is too small, anyway.)

Actually, I could live with that. I never picked him up but thought about it many times. This picture makes me consider revisiting the question yet again. Hubcap has joined my SS figures.

Mind showing off a few comparison pics with Hubcap and some SS figures? I've been thinking about tracking Hubcap down too.

Ironhide is indeed smaller than Peterbild Optimus, he is just about up to the bottom of Optimus's windows/chest. and as a topkick he is a good 2 meters shorter than Optimus (topkick 6.7 meters, and Peterbild 8.9) they should be about the same width at 2.4 m (topkick 2.43 and Peterbild 2.49 meter)

If one were to change their point of view, Studio Series vehicles would all scale pretty well together.

I opened up Studio Series Megatron. Robot mode is pretty solid, it definitely captures that on-screen appearance very well. Not convinced of the transformation / alt mode. This is only my first impression and it may grow with time as I know the alt mode has never been majestic. I still think it's a solid release and continues the stellar reputation of this Studio Series line.

Yeah, that HFTD Ironhide is definitely a tad short. It sucks, because I still think hes best proportioned/looking mainline Ironhide we've gotten. Honestly, bumblebee just looks out of place here.

But it's funny, in vehicle mode, they're all actually pretty close.
