Well, I hit up Big W South Yarra at 7am this morning. They got a total of 1 box of Leader-class POTP figures. It had Prime and Unicronus in it.

I might have to wander into the city store after work tonight.

It's totally possible to make the backpack toy (and show) accurate when the guns are deployed!

Well. F&#k Big W. Why have a toy sale if you're not going to stock any toys.

Excellent. This kit fills in the gaps nicely with the addition of Primal's swords and the Optimal Ground Assault mode.
The 2 rifles are a nice touch too. They appear to fit into the slots within Optimal's palms. . . I can't wait! This figure can wield the original's gun, but not securely.

The feet were positioned the same way in that mode on the original toy, but the bottoms of its feet looked a lot better (more filled in, with larger thrusters molded in).

That actually doesn’t look bad. So tired of the hollow parts on current figures

After initially being against getting this figure, I am considering him. I have no use for Primal as the MP version has already scratched that itch. OpOp’s bot mode looks great, IMO. Beast mode looks okay. The PE version is impressive, but I am not willing to spend $170 on a figure like that. The size of this one also seems more amenable to fiddling around with.

I'm talking about one that I don't have to pay $175 to import. That would be nice.

Not sure where you live, but it cost me ~$125 to import to the U.S. (that included shipping). And that was from a U.S. retailer, not a discounted JP retailer

With the DNA set including a set of swords, I thought I'd try the original Primal's swords with the POTP one. They work with him--albeit a tad oversized--so let's hope the DNA swords also feature toon-accurate colors.
