Yeah, that's what I am saying. And I agree, why not? It fixes a couple of things at the same time. No more parts lying around, etc. Some people will definitely cry though.

 

Constructor Scale Mafia = The collective who's sole purpose is to declare scale victory which they think will then intimidate all remaining companies to design their combiners in Constructor scale.

 

I’m in the terminus/Gabe scale mafia, those who want their combiners to scale with Omega Supreme. Which happens to be the same height as Constructor....

That pretty much what I want for a combiner, but for CHUG scale. For a Voyager Optimus Prime and Megatron, with everyone else scaled around them, Megatron would come up to the midline of Devastator's knee. I know JuJiang Toys made an OS KO of CW Superion, which is extremely redesigned and re-engineered, and looks pretty dang great in combined form. And it's the same height as CW/UW Devastator, which is 18 inches tall.

 

Sounds like a good idea, but one would imagine the pricing of the individual bots would remain roughly the same and then the added cost of a huge robot along with that. That does not sound appealing considering 3P pricing.

 

3P pricing is rarely appealing. Yet people continue to find the required moolah to buy them. Don't you worry.

Pretty much this. If it's just a combiner team that can't combine and a combiner that isn't made of individual robots, then what's the point?

I wouldn't be so sure about that. FT hinted this will be the biggest combiner to date and will perfectly scale with Terminus. So then what does that imply?

 

The point is that you have the combined form and individual bots, so you don't have to buy it twice.  

 

I don't own Temrinus, I have WeiJiangs Omega, but Constructor is actually just a little shorter than that and I assume would be similar height on Terminus.
FT may mean their's will be the tallest combiner AND be the same height as Terminus, which would make it a little bit taller than Constructor? It's debtable whether Omega needs to be a little taller or the same height as Combiners so either one could work. As long as they're in roughly the same ball park I'm happy.
Constructor/Temrinus/Gabriel/Ultima/Monolith/Atilla size range is fine, UT/TFM/CW size is not. A cm or two taller or shorter is easily managed in this size with position and posing. Several inches height difference is a lot more promlematic

 

Getting the best of each mode rather than compromises in one or both. You know, for the folks who don't want partsforming to alleviate that dilemma.

It implies that it might be 1 cm bigger than Constructor, which would make it the biggest, and is within range.

Ft already did a teaser pic with their intended combiner height, they also stick close to the official scale chart. So I would guess they will continue with the scale they mostly do. If they do a 180, and not make their combiners scale with their terminus, then lucky us there are other options that do.

But they don't want partsforming. I am happy with Constructor style engineering and scale that delivers a fantastic combined form via partsforming and botmodes that size really well with MP. Just give the XTB or Fans Toys design aesthetic to the individual bots and it'd be pretty close to perfect.
