I wish DS-02 would go on sale. I can't believe DS-02 was a big seller.
I like the mold though and DS-01.

 

Why not just post them in the thread? I too would like to see how they look together, I'm sure a lot of people here would be interested in that.

 

@Markatron Alright here you go, I'm sorry it took longer than expected. I realized I really don't like transforming Susanoo, it's quite fiddly.

Since there is a bunch of pictures I'm putting most of them in a spoiler tag. Also sorry about the quality of the pictures, my space for picture taking was too small for a few fighting/clashing pics.

Eh, I'm glad I skipped that Drift.

 

It really is kind of lifeless compared to other MMC releases. :/

 

Just opened him for the first time and noticed the paint on the feet is pretty beat up. Seems to be some orange paint rubbed off some od raised points on his hip skirt armour plates. I'm seeing stress marks around the hinge behind his head. And while I was showing a friend Susanoo's hard to use waist swivel, I managed to somehow shear off a nub that helps to hold on his die cast butt flap. Has not even been transformed yet! I hope it holds up.

The remaining nub and interlocking shapes can still hold the but flap in piece. If I want I think I can super glue the nub back on, but what's the point?

He seems really posable and terribly menacing.

 

Sadly, that seems par for the course when it comes to this figure. Looks great, poor QC. Especially the chipped orange paint, which seems to be the standard with this guy. Certainly looks fantastic, but really scary to mess with.

And it really is a shame that the engineering on this guy was poor. I'd love to recommend him to everyone, but knowing the issues he has, I simply can't do that.

 

this is the one figure I will allow Battle Damage on.

 

Love the look of the figure but definitely horrible QC. Would never buy another figure from company again. I do have their citybot kits as well and know those will work.

 

I still very much prefer the Generations/United mold. Something about the MMC jusy feels lacking.

 

Sorry to resurrect this old post, but I had a question for anyone who might have an answer!

Is there any way to get that first production gift head? I love the design of this figure to bits but something about his underbite and Thanos chin in the stock head sculpt is a bit strange looking to me, I would much rather the "face style" more skeletal head that was a first run gift. If anyone knows a way to get it please lemmie know! I don't want to pass this figure up because I'm not a fan of the head sculpt.

 

Let me check which face I'm using. If I'm not using the one you want I'd be willing to part with it

 

Ok so yeah I'm using it. I don't even have the original one sorry. I think show z might still have some original runs that come with it.

I got him at BBTS last year and they still have him in stock with the bonus face plate.

Any flaws?

 

A little bit of paint chipping on the feet(I can take some pictures for you and send you a pm if you want.) I can’t recall if there was any other flaws, but when I get home I will look and make sure.

 

Thats not even something he's done, those figures shipped with chipped paint on the feet, it was quite a qc issue. just mentioning that all of them have chips, so its really not an issue.

 

Man despite all the flaws, I still find myself somewhat interested, but the lack of any disconuts/lowered prices is still keeping me away.
