If they start offering upgrade sets individually, I hope that leads they’ll sell the hands and flame effects for Fei Long.
But I’m not holding my breath.  

 

Yeah, that's my thinking. There were people who were going to get godbomber already, even before the articulated hands and PMOP head existed. There were also people for whom Power Baser is PMOP, not Ginrai, so they weren't interested in godbomber, but they would be interested in the head and hands. So selling those separately gets those customers. And there will be people who will still get godbomber, but just say screw paying extra for the heads and hands, so FH is still getting their business. And then there will be people who will get godbomber AND the pieces, which is prolly their most ideal case.

And there's also the fact that they've confirmed they were going to make godbombers for both decos. So that creates its own mess- if they had included the hands and head with mb-11 for original Power Baser, do they charge more for it than the godbomber for Black Power Baser (since the Black deco already has the articulated hands and wouldn't use the new head)? So I think they just punted and avoided the issue by not mixing the hands with godbomber.

So let me get this straight... Fans Hobby are dicks for giving away parts for Power Baser with the black repaint, they're dicks for making the extra parts available to buy without buying another figure, and they're dicks for not giving away the extra parts with their Godbomber even though people were bitching when they thought the parts might come with Godbomber that they wanted a Marvel comics Powermaster Optimus not God Ginrai and it was a dick move to include Marvel parts with a Godbomber they didn't want?

There really is no pleasing some people...

I’m selling my original Power Baser. Was on display only for a short time . I’ll be listing it on eBay later tonight . Just figured I’d give you guys a quick heads up if you wanted it before it goes up . Looking to get at the least in the ball park of $160ish for you guys. PM if interested.

 

Well of course, that’s why they needed to make a decision. The decision they did was just poor in my mind.

 

I'm going to wait for a PMOP re-release that includes the new hands and face and maybe they even include the adjustable bumper.  

 

It'll have upgrade parts for GB too!   jk jk

 

Yeah, clearly the correct decision would be to make a time machine, go back in time, and put the new parts the box with the red and blue Power Baser.

I sent Fans Hobby a message on facebook and they will be doing the Fire Guts Ginrai version also   I just asked if they were doing it and they said it was in the plans

 

I'm getting the Nucleon repaint but if they do a Fire Guts repaint, I'm definitely double dipping. A matrix would also look cool with Fire Guts' colors.
